Meditate steadfastly in the place of birth! If the mind is carried away by the winds of distraction, there is no freedom. Rely on the secluded mountains, be a detached practitioner! Arrange the seven pure offerings, when the clear offering water is pure and pleasing, make offerings to the Three Jewels! If the storm is filled with dust, there is no freedom. Create pure incense that pleases the deities! Fortunate individuals who desire the Dharma with their three doors, when body and mind are at ease, strive to accumulate merit and purify obscurations! If afflicted by illness, demons, and death, there is no freedom. Purify your own mindstream, be a person of Dharma! A beautiful lute made of white copper, gold, and silver, when the sound is beautiful and the melody is excellent, make offerings to the Three Jewels! If stained by damage and dirt, there is no freedom. Offer praise and music with the lute! A qualified spiritual friend who is skilled in empowerment, guidance, and instructions, when the time is right, benefit sentient beings! If afflicted by old age and death, there is no freedom. Show the excellent path to liberation, be an illuminator of the teachings! The food prepared with skillful hands is clean, when it is beautifully decorated and radiant, make offerings to the mandala! If stained by dirt, there is no freedom. Complete the accumulation of merit, be a nourishing food! A devoted patron who possesses wealth and enjoyment, when you have wealth and power, dedicate it to the Dharma! If taken away by enemies, thieves, or armies, there is no freedom. Bury wealth as an inexhaustible treasure, be a wealthy person! Thus it is said. A song without distinction between enemies and friends, called "The Continuation of Patience." Homage to Guru Arya Maitreya! The incarnate form of Victor Maitreya, I prostrate to the incomparable Lord of Dharma! As many kalpas as there are grains of sand in the Ganges, countless, immeasurable, inconceivable. When wandering in the ocean of samsara, it is meaningless without obtaining a human body. Even if the flesh and blood of the body are accumulated, it is greater than the three thousand worlds. The blood is more than the ocean. The sorrow of the death of relatives, the accumulated tears are like the Rakshasa Sea. The heads cut off from killing enemies, accumulated are as high as a mountain. All of these are meaningless wastes, neither beneficial nor harmful. Sin and obscuration are on oneself.

Where does it exist? Who is the enemy that kills? Mostly they are the descendants born from karmic debts. Even beloved children and wives, Mostly they are born as butchers who kill. The kind and elderly parents, Mostly they are born as livestock and slaughtered. The state of samsara is like this, Who is the enemy and who is the friend? Only in this very life, In the first half of life, they are enemies, in the second half, they are friends. In the first half of life, they are friends, in the second half, they are enemies. Last year they were friends, this year they are enemies. Last year they were enemies, this year they are friends. For both enemies and friends, I have not seen any that can be trusted. Some friends to whom one can confide, I have seen them deceive and take lives. Even enemies who eat human flesh, I have seen them become relatives through marriage. The dharma of samsara has no essence, It is like illusion and dreams. Thinking of enemies as enemies, From this arises tormenting thoughts, hateful thoughts, and cruelty, Thinking of relatives as relatives, From this arises attachment and clinging to death, This is a sign of not understanding the meaning. For any hated enemy, Even if you hear of them encountering misfortune and suffering, Do not cultivate thoughts of happiness, Even if you have the ability to overcome them, Do not inflict excessive torment, Even if they need your help, Do what is necessary to help them, Even if you cannot help them in this life, Plant the aspiration to help them in the future. Never abandon them from your mind, When will you attain perfect omniscience, And lead them to the ground of enlightenment, I have such vows and bodhicitta. May others also do the same. Thinking of relatives as relatives, Do not be overly attached, In order to maintain shame and caution, Do not view relatives as enemies, Treat and care for them in an appropriate manner, Guide them to practice the Dharma at the appropriate time. Temporary relationships are only fleeting, Remember impermanence and separation. Abandon the painful feelings of being unable to separate, Even if someone as precious as your heart dies, Avoid excessive crying and grief, Say that this is the nature of samsara. I also act in this way, It would be excellent if others also did the same. There is no difference between enemies and friends, They are all parents from many lifetimes. Those who harm me, Are like a madman killing himself. Because the flood of samsara has intoxicated their minds, They are possessed by the demons of afflictions. Where do they have autonomy? If I do not endure, It is like a madman striking out in madness.
