In order to subdue King Gsalgyal, the Blessed One manifested as a Chakravartin King and tamed him. That king renounced and attained Arhatship. Thus, the merit of renovation causes a king to be born as a powerful king and attain fruition. 7. In the past, a wealthy man had no son, so he took a wife. The elder wife had a son, and she killed the younger son by inserting a needle into his fontanelle. She said she did not kill him and swore a reversed oath. Later, she offered alms to a Pratyekabuddha, and seeing him fly into the sky, she developed faith and made the aspiration, "May I also become like you." Therefore, due to killing the son, she was born in the lower realms and experienced immeasurable suffering. Later, in Shravasti, she was born as an excellent woman, married, and had two sons. That man was killed by a poisonous snake. One son was carried away by water, and one was eaten by a wolf. The father's name caught fire and burned all the parents and relatives. Also, she lived with another man and had a son. That man got drunk, killed the son, and forced her to eat human flesh. Distressed, she ran away, and another man encountered this dead woman. When the man left her, he died. Because that was the custom of the place, she was buried in a pit with the corpse. Grave robbers dug up the grave, took her away, and made her their wife. The robbers were punished, and the king killed him and buried him in the grave with the corpse again. The grave was dug up by wolves, and she escaped, met the Blessed One, renounced, and attained Arhatship, but a red-hot iron skewer pierced from the crown of her head to the soles of her feet, and she always experienced severe pain. That was due to the residual karma of inserting the needle, the evil aspiration of being widowed many times, and the attainment of Arhatship by honoring the Pratyekabuddha, which matured separately in one body. 7. In the past, countless eons ago, two thousand hermits lived on a mountain. Hearing the news that it would not rain for twelve years, a wealthy householder promised to be their patron for twelve years. He assigned five hundred people to prepare food, but they could not manage. He often said, "This hardship is for these beggars." At lunchtime, he sent someone to invite them, but one day he forgot to invite them, even though a dog always went.

However, the dog came barking completely. After twelve years, it rained, and the farmer said and started plowing the field, and only gourds grew, and the gourds were full of fruit, and all the warehouses were full. There, five hundred people developed faith and confessed the bad words they had said before. Those beggars said that (they) were reborn as beggars for five hundred lifetimes. Later, in Shravasti, those five hundred beggars became monks and attained Arhatship, which is the benefit said. The king and ministers invited Shakyamuni Buddha and his retinue, but said that they would not invite the ordained beggars, and Shakyamuni Buddha allowed it. (Those beggars) took the fallen grains from the unpleasant sound, from the uncultivated land, each took a bowl, and then ascended into the sky, and had lunch with Shakyamuni Buddha, and everyone developed faith, and then they were invited together. That householder is the Bhagavan (World Honored One). The one who guards the warehouse is Prince Victory Army. The inviter is King Upana. That dog is the householder Melodious Voice, who has a beautiful voice in all lifetimes. 7. In Shravasti, there was a poor woman named Melodious Joy, who found a little ghee in the garbage dump, made a small ghee lamp and offered it to the Bhagavan (World Honored One). Holding the ghee lamp, it did not go out until the next morning. The son of Maudgalyayana thought that there was no need for a ghee lamp during the day, and wanted to extinguish it, but it did not go out. There, the Bhagavan (World Honored One) prophesied that the woman would become the Light Lamp Buddha after countless eons in the future. This is also because, in the past, the Light Protection Buddha and his retinue, a wealthy woman and two poor women, were invited at the same time. He went to the poor woman first, and that woman, because of her noble birth and wealth, arrogantly said, 'Instead of coming to my place first, you go to the beggar's place.' She spoke bad words, so she was reborn as a beggar for five hundred lifetimes. Later, she made offerings and met Shakyamuni Buddha with faith, and received the Bodhi prophecy. After saying this, everyone offered countless ghee lamps to the Bhagavan (World Honored One). This is also because, in the past, in front of the Buddha Precious Crest, a virtuous friend Bhikshu of the noble ones begged for food in order to offer ghee lamps for three months, and a king's daughter gave him a lot of ghee. Therefore, he found enough ghee to offer ghee lamps for three months, and did not need to beg for food anymore. For countless eons, both of them enjoyed the happiness of gods and humans.
