Sixty cycles revolve endlessly, years, months, days, and hours all circulate. The arrogant have human bodies, the ignorant have the heads of animals. Rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake heads, horse, sheep, monkey, bird, dog, pig heads. Desire flaps its wings like a bird, hatred coils around the tail like a snake. Jealousy joins hands like a garuda's claws. Each year has its own deity and glory, the seventh year has its own executioner and demon. They are both gods and demons, doing both good and harm. They dwell in all directions of the earth, therefore, they are earth-owning gods and demons. Offering worship to you, precious grain tormas are offered. The torma is made in two parts, a sign that it is for both gods and demons. The single point pointing upwards is a sign that it is the deity of that year. Anointing it with butter is a sign that the deity's face is as white as a conch shell. The single point curving downwards is a sign that it is the demon of the seventh year. Placing a small ball in the middle is a sign that both gods and demons are satisfied. The torma is as large as Mount Meru, with a hundred flavors and a thousand powers. Offer it to the twelve-year deities, may they be pleased and completely satisfied. May they grant the deity's treasury of their respective years to me and the patrons. Prolong life, increase glory, and expand merit, even if there are people in the seventh year. May you not send down the executioners and demons, may you always have a compassionate heart.
