Homage to the feet of the Bhagavan. The Bhagavan spoke: Listen, O hungry ghost with a burning mouth. Enjoy this offering of the torma. Do not create obstacles to the life of the noble one. By the Bhagavan's dedication in this way, thousands of hungry ghosts were satiated, satisfied, and content. The noble Ananda was freed from the demons. May merit and accumulation be perfected, and enjoyment increase. By the power of the four hundred, with this vast offering torma, may the harm of water from the source be averted. As in the past, may the obstacles and adverse conditions of the patron be transformed today. By the power of these four hundred, for me and the patron, may Yama, the mother goddess, the king, and the yakshas, demons, earth lords, and theurang demons, rakshasas, planets, humans and non-humans, and so on, may the armies of bhutas be averted. May the afflictions of the king of the heavens, the evil aspects of the eight trigrams, and the fears of earth, water, fire, and wind be averted by these four hundred. May the four hundred and four types of diseases be averted. May the eighty thousand types of obstacles be averted. May the three hundred and sixty types of evil spirits be averted. May bad dreams, bad omens, and bad signs be averted. May the afflictions of the year, month, and day be averted. May the great demons and small spirits be transformed. May calamities and disaster spirits be transformed. Likewise, whatever harms me, may it be averted by these four hundred. Hūṃ. May the eighty thousand obstacles be averted by these four hundred. May the twenty-one thousand obstacles be averted by these four hundred. May the eighteen untimely deaths be averted by these four hundred.
