The patron says: I dedicate this image and great ransom, Surrounded by four hundred substances. May the four Maras dwelling on the fingers, On the index finger, listen to the white god Mara. On the middle finger, listen to the yellow Skandha Mara. On the ring finger, listen to the red affliction Mara. On the little finger, listen to the black death lord Mara. Upon these accumulated vow-clay earths, I, with the power of samadhi, The truth of the precious ones of the ten directions, And the might and skill of the Dharma protectors, May the armies of the four Maras and the hordes of obstacles, Be filled and possess a joyful mind. Pacify the malicious mind and bring peace. In the past, the command of the Great Sage, Four kinds of giving of four hundred: A hundred tsatsas, on the path of accumulation, Relying on the giving of refuge. A hundred tormas, on the path of preparation, Relying on the giving of material things. A hundred butter lamps, on the path of seeing, Relying on the giving of love. A hundred human effigies, on the path of meditation, Relying on purifying the debts of life. Therefore, it is the giving of Dharma. In the past, Indra gave his body, Giving away a hundred human effigies, he was liberated from the Maras. Likewise, by giving away these four hundred, May you be liberated from sickness and evil spirits. With compassion, seeing the delusion of beings' ignorance, Gathering the earth of five precious things, Thoroughly mixing the elements with water, Blessing with samadhi, The carved vessel is the mother of the Dharmadhatu, The buzzing is the son of skillful means and wisdom, Inseparably united, Are countless stupas of relics. It is especially excellent because of the great mind-power, It is like the wind because of the great transformative power, The support of the body, the gathering of all interdependent origination, Possessing qualities, it is unobstructed. All the stupas of relics, And the place of offering, And we, the patrons and the retinue of offerings, And it is a great refuge for sentient beings. Therefore, the Three Jewels, And the Yidam Dharma protectors, The supreme supports of body, speech, and mind, Having honored them on the crown of our heads, May we hold them in the place of reverence. We invite the Three Jewels, the great refuge of blessings, To dwell in our hands as a support. From now until the essence of enlightenment, As the protector and refuge of sentient beings, Having manifested as the Sugata, Consider the benefit of sentient beings. The mind of Amitabha.
