May you be filled with joy. May you be filled with love. Please grant me all accomplishments. Please make all my actions auspicious. Mind, be at peace! Kuru Hum! (Tibetan: ཧཱུཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum) Haha Haha Ho! Bhagavan! All Tathagatas! Vajra, do not abandon me! Vajra, arise! Great Samaya Sattva, Ah! Regarding the question of whether the recitation of the Hundred Syllable Mantra is correct, the answer is as follows: Although the word "Vajra" exists in all mantras, the recitation method varies according to the traditional habits of each school. Some people recite it as "འབད་ཛྲ་ (pronounced: Eza)", but the sound "ད་ (da)" here is not necessary, and it should be recited as "འབའ་ཛྲ་ (pronounced: Aza)". "པ་ཏིཥྛ་ (patiṣṭha)" should be recited as "པ་ཏིས་ཋ་ (patis tha)", without adding the sound "སོ་ (so)". Similarly, all words such as "སུ་ཏོས་ཡོ་ (sutos yo)" and "སུ་པོས་ཡོ་ (supos yo)" are the same, without adding the sound "སེ་ (se)". For "དྲི་བྷྱོ་ (dribhyo)", it is also written as "ཊཱི་ (ṭī)" when asking questions nowadays, and I have consulted the oral instructions of Shabdrung Lochen and others many times. Therefore, it should not be written as "ཌི་ (ḍi)" when writing, because the aspirated sound of "དྲི་ (dri)" belongs to the category of "ད་ (da)", so ར་ (ra) must be added to "ད་ (da)", and གི་གུ་ (gi gu) must be moved to the back, and the recitation method should be the same. Apart from this, it should not be recited as "འདྲི་ (dri)", they said. Therefore, the recitation method of "རྗེ་རྣོ་ (je rno)" should be like "རི་སྒྲོ་ (ri sgro)". Regarding the sentence "ཙིཏྟཾ་ཤེ་ཡ། (cittaṃ śeyaḥ)", there are several options for the recitation method of the diacritic of "ཏ་ (ta)". As the mantra recitation book says: "Each sect recites its own fifth letter." According to this statement, ཏ་ (ta), ཐ་ (tha), ད་ (da), དྷ་ (dha), ན་ (na), the fifth letter of ཏ་ (ta) is ན་ (na), so it can also be recited as "ཙིད་ཏན། (cittan)". Moreover, the meaning of "If there is a semicolon, recite oneself" also refers to this. If there is no semicolon, then recite the next letter. According to this method, it should be connected with ཐེའི་ཤ་ (the'i sha). If that is done, then ཡ་ (ya), ར་ (ra), ལ་ (la), ཝ་ (wa), ཤ་ (sha), ཥ་ (ṣa), ས་ (sa), ཧ་ (ha), according to the method of "Recite the eight letters such as ཡ་ (ya) as ང་ (nga)", it is recited as "ཙིད་ཏང་ (cittaṃ)". Therefore, many people think that the two sounds "ན་ (na)" and "ང་ (nga)" can be chosen arbitrarily. However, if you carefully study the context of the Sanskrit original, it seems that it should be recited as "སྲིད་ཏན་ (srid tan)". The two words "བྱེ་ (bhye)" and "ཤྲཱི་ (śrī)" have different spellings. If according to the Sanskrit original, it seems that it should be written as "ཐེ་ (the)". Because "ཤི་ (śi)" in Tibetan is "དཔལ་ (dpal, auspicious)", and the meaning of "ཐེ་ (the)" is "བདེ་ལེགས་ (bde legs, happiness and auspiciousness)", therefore, in the Hundred Syllable Mantra, reciting "ཙིཏྟཾ་ཤེ་ཡཋཀུ་རུ་ (cittaṃ śeyaḥ kuru)" means "May my mind be happy and auspicious".

Because it is said like this, it is said that "བྲེ་" is needed. Some may choose to use "ཡ" and "ཡཾ་", because it is said that the only difference between the two is the grammatical usage, and there is no contradiction. "བྷ་ག་ཝཱན།" (Tibetan, Devanagari, bhagavan, The Blessed One) is the Sanskrit word for "བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ (bcom ldan 'das, The Blessed One)". "བྷ་ག་ཝ་ཏི་" (Tibetan, Devanagari, bhagavati, The Blessed Mother) is "བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་མ་ (bcom ldan 'das ma, The Blessed Mother)", because its power transforms into the illusory sound of "མ་ (ma, mother)". These two words, and the "བྷ་ག་ཝ་ཏེ་ (bhagavate)" in the mantra of the Wrathful Guru, and all other mantras such as the longevity mantra, are the same. This "བྷ་ (bha)" should not be read as "འབའ་ ('ba')", but must be read as "སྦ་ (sba)". Some people read this "ག་ (ga)" as "འགའ་ ('ga')", but that is not correct; it is just "ག་ (ga)" alone. The Sanskrit word for the female genitalia, "བྷ་ག་ (bhaga)", also has the same pronunciation as this. In general, "གྷ་ (gha)", "ཛྷ་ (jha)", "ཌྷ་ (ḍha)", "དྷ་ (dha)", "བྷ་ (bha)", all of these are influenced by the sound of "ཧ་ (ha)" below, and are pronounced similarly to "ས་ (sa)", "སྔ་ (snga)", "སྒྲ་ (sgra)", "སྡ་ (sda)", "སྦ་ (sba)", but should not be read as "འགའ་ ('ga')", "འཛའ་ ('dza')", "འདྲ་ ('dra')", "འདའ་ ('da')", "འབའ་ ('ba')". Furthermore, your pronunciation of the Hundred Syllable Mantra seems adequate. The "ད་ (da)" in "འབད་དྲ་ ('bad dra)" is not necessary; it should be read as "འབའ་ཛྲ་ ('ba' dzra)". "ཨོཾ་ཨ་ཀཱ་རོ་མུ་ཁཾ། སརྦ་དྷརྨ་ཎཾ། ཨ་དྱ་ནུཏྤནྣ་ཏྭཱཏ། ཨོཾ་ཨཱཿ ཧཱུྃ་ཕཊ་སྭཱ་ཧཱ།" (Tibetan, Devanagari, Roman transliteration, literal meaning) For example, the pronunciation of this should be like "ཨོ་ཨ་ཀཱ་རོ་མུ་ཁང་། སརྦ་དྷར་མ་ཎན། །ཨ་དཱས་ནུད་པན་ན་ཏོད་". Many people mispronounce "ཨཱརྱ་ (ārya, noble)". It is common to see people adding "ཡ་ (ya)" below "ད་ (da)" or adding "ཡ་ (ya)" below "ར་ (ra)". If these two are mispronounced, the error will be very serious. "ཨ་དས་ནུད་པན་ (a das nud pan)" means "originally unborn". If it is read as "ཨཱརྱ་ནུད་པན་ (ārya nud pan)", it becomes "the noble one's penis", which is a big mistake. Furthermore, regarding "བཛྲ་བི་དྱ་རཱ་ཛཱ་ཡ་ (vajra vidyā rājāya, Vajra Vidyaraja)", which is the King of Knowledge, many people mistakenly read it as "བིརྱ་རཱ་ཛཱ་ (virya rājā)". "བི་དྱ་ (vidyā)" means knowledge, while "བིརླ་ (virla)" means diligence, so they are not the same. ༈ ན་མོ་གུ་རུ། If it is necessary to give instructions to a dying patient, then one must first know whether the other person is of superior, middling, or inferior capacity. For great saints or those who have realized their tutelary deity, even if instructions are given, they will not be effective. If it is necessary to give instructions, then call their name and tell them that their body is now experiencing the stages of the dissolution of the four elements, and the three stages of luminosity, increase, and attainment.
