Since the time of descent has arrived, please do not be distracted from your vows and place death in the state of the clear light Dharmakaya. Although it is only necessary to say this, such people are rare nowadays. Also, for those lowest individuals, like animals, who have no Dharma habits at all, if they do not know what kind of object to meditate on, call them from the pillow: "You are about to die! Do not put your mind elsewhere, take refuge in the Lord Great Compassionate One! Please look upon us with compassion!" Just say that. Also, Homage to the Buddha Jewel Crown! And so on, recite the names of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas and the blessed Dharani mantras, and recite many aspiration prayers. Like this, for those other than the above two kinds of people, whether ordained or lay, as long as they have faith and understanding, transference should be performed. It is said that the body should be in a squatting posture, or lying on the right side. But if the body can be adjusted before the breath is cut off, then do not move it. Once the external breath is cut off, it is absolutely not permissible to make any adjustments to the corpse. Then, there should be no bad disturbances such as crying nearby, and keep it quiet. From the pillow side, with a voice that is neither too loud nor too soft, in a gentle tone, call him by his good name and say this: "Now you have reached the time of impermanent death, recognize that you are about to die! You For all things such as this life's homeland, houses, property, utensils, friends, relatives, work and actions, do not have any attachment or clinging! If you have attachment to them, not only will it not be beneficial, but it will become an obstacle on the path to liberation, so let go completely and make a firm decision! All conditioned phenomena are impermanent in nature, so the end of birth is death, the end of gathering is separation, and the end of accumulation is exhaustion. The suffering of death does not only happen to you alone, from the thousand-wheeled Chakravartin king down to the young son of Mingse, there is no other place to go except death. Therefore, it is meaningless for you alone to feel fear and suffering. If you encounter profound instructions, you can have some clarity about death.

Since you possess merit and good fortune, do not let your mind wander elsewhere, but meditate on this visualization as follows: Visualize your own body as the form of the Yidam Great Compassionate One, with nothing inside your body, such as flesh and blood, but empty and hollow. In the very center, the central channel (uma) is like an empty bamboo fortress, clear inside and out, standing like a pillar, with its lower end directly in front of the navel, without any holes like a bamboo joint. The upper end reaches the opening of the Brahma aperture at the crown of the head, appearing white and clear, and is completely open. Above the crown of your head, in the sky about a cubit above, on a lotus and solar-lunar disc, visualize your root guru, in whom you have faith and devotion, as the Dharmakaya Kuntuzangpo Vajradhara, or Amitabha Buddha, or, according to the tradition of Orgyen Rinpoche, abiding amidst swirling rainbows of light. Then, visualize the essence of your own mind, the nature of consciousness, as a bright white drop of light, like a bead of a crystal rosary, white and shimmering, about the size of a pea, located within the central channel. At the end of my supplication, in conjunction with the sound of "PHAṬ" (藏文,梵文天城体:फट्,梵文罗马拟音:phaṭ,汉语字面意思:啪), the essence of your own awareness, that white drop of light, jumps upward within the central channel, and emerges from the Brahma aperture at the crown of your head with a "whoosh," dissolving into the heart of the root guru, merging inseparably, and visualize that the guru also goes to the pure realm of Khechara. Do not let your mind wander elsewhere for even a moment, but focus on the guru. Having practiced this visualization, sing with a beautiful voice: Namo Guru. In the Ogmin realm, the meaning of the Great Bliss Wheel, the root guru, the embodiment of all lineages, possessing greater compassion than all Buddhas, abides in a rainbow body, radiant with marks and signs. I offer my body, life, and possessions, along with those of all beings, as unattached offerings, please accept them. With immeasurable compassion, swiftly like an iron hook, please liberate us, your suffering and miserable children and subjects. The appearances of this life vanish like a dream, the inevitable Lord of Death binds us with a tight noose. At this terrifying juncture of traversing the great Bardo, please quickly look upon us with compassion, O Guru. Leaving behind possessions, relatives, and cherished bodies, which are of no benefit, this self-awareness, without the power to be moved by the winds of deluded appearances, the supreme path of transference.
