May the profound meaning be realized! May we be free from attachment to this deceptive life, and may the habitual tendencies of straying onto wrong paths not arise. May this clear, empty, ungrasping, naked awareness be inseparable from the heart of the venerable guru, and may it be liberated into the unborn space of the Dharma realm! Phat! Phat! Phat! Phat! Phat! Phat! One should also visualize that within the body of the deceased, the bindu at the base of the central channel rises up and merges into the heart of the guru. Focus on this visualization and utter the sound "Phat" five or seven times, with a volume that is neither too loud nor too soft. Then, remain for a short while in a state of non-elaboration. After that, one should recite extensively aspiration prayers such as the "Bhadrakalpika Sutra" (Good Aeon Sutra). Phat! At the time of recitation, one can pull the hair from the crown of the head of the deceased until one feels a definite sensation. If that is not possible, one can heat a stone slab about three finger-widths in size, or a piece of pottery, in the fire until it is hot and oily, and then briefly place it on the fontanelle. It is said that this also has the special effect of causing the consciousness to exit. For those who have not transferred their consciousness, it is very important that the body does not twitch or move, and that there are no loud noises nearby, such as doors slamming or objects falling. Therefore, if someone says they are performing "Chöd" (severance) and starts to turn the corpse over or engage in many violent actions, this will lead to a wrong connection, and should not be done. In this way, if one has already practiced this visualization of transference beforehand and kept it in mind, then at the time of death, one will not need to rely on others. Generally speaking, nowadays there are very few people who are able to hear and practice this much of the visualization of transference. If, while still alive, there is not even the slightest mistake in the category of visualization, then at the time of death, due to the intense pain, it will be difficult to visualize clearly. Therefore, it is very important to become familiar with it now. Alternatively, if the patient has merit, it would be best if they could be taught the key points of transference visualization just before death, but it is also difficult to accomplish that. If it is not done when the outer breath has stopped but the inner breath has not yet stopped and the warmth has not yet dissipated, then nowadays some people think that they can perform transference on someone who has been dead for a long time, but this is only a meaningless activity. For those who do not know the clear visualization of transference, one can call them by name and tell them, "Now you have died. Do not be distracted, but focus single-pointedly on the fact that Guru Orgyen Rinpoche (Padmasambhava) is present on the crown of your head." Just that is enough. For individuals who have experience and understanding of Dharma practice, one can start from
