These lamas, Mostly not necessarily ordinary beings. A bodhisattva transforming into two thieves, The metaphor of not knowing where they are. Mostly it is the bodhisattva himself. In the past, during the auspicious eon, Compared to an arhat flying in the sky, Nowadays, just wearing monastic robes, It is said to have great benefits, In the past, having unobstructed miraculous powers, Nowadays, just knowing how to take care of one's own mind, It is said to have great benefits, etc., Thinking in the heart, purify the visualization. View oneself as lower than everyone else. The meaning of which Langri Tangpa said: Whenever and with whomever you associate, View yourself as lower than everyone else, From the depths of your heart, think of others, May you treat them with utmost respect. This is the practice he spoke of. The two discriminations of high and low, Transforming them into the path of equanimity, The ninth chapter of the song. Listen again to another diligent one, A realized one with realization, Carrying a door panel, pillar, eave, and leg bone horn, For the sake of equanimity towards satiety and hunger, warmth and cold, Traveling to various places in various countries, Is considered a practitioner of no illness, carried by the wind. A monk who has requested to uphold the Vinaya, Also wanders in Ü-Tsang, Dakpo, and Kongpo, There is no other drink besides alcohol, Because he drank too much alcohol, he got drunk, Sleeping in monasteries, villages, cities, and street corners. The monastery's Dharma events are poorly imitated, The root of all Dharmas is, The Tibetan monastic vows are about to be destroyed. Such things are seen and heard a lot. If one has practice and realization, Happy when gaining, sad when not gaining, These are the two aspects of the eight worldly dharmas. Retreat and practice lack conducive conditions, When being a beggar in summer and autumn, If one is equal towards gaining and not gaining, Then that is the most supreme conduct. The name is also called an equanimous beggar. There is no need to deliberately break a dog's jaw, Entrust it to a patron who has deep friendship and divine blessings, and then leave. Just thinking that the wealth of those to be tamed will come, The little son comes out of the door with a dusty face, Where did father go today? Mother says what to do without tea? The villagers are also suffering from famine, Is it necessary to collect grain or not? The monks also have dark faces, Saying key words to that patron. The lama didn't even get lunch, All the teachers and students are complaining of hunger. The faces and minds of all the teachers and students, Are uniformly dark. That time was the time to collect taxes at once.

Yes. The dejection of thinking 'I haven't found it' is one of the eight worldly concerns. Look directly at its essence, and leave it calmly in the state of looking. When the Blessed Shakyamuni spoke of the faults of possessions, many monks offered vows, and the Teacher rejoiced at that. Therefore, when you have not found a disciple to be tamed, cultivate the joy of having little defilement of possessions. Abandon any unpleasant thoughts towards that patron and that village from the root. Cultivate giving and receiving with love and compassion. Then, when you come again, with no acquaintance or recognition, thinking of going to a town or village, the monks stubbornly say they will not go. As Milarepa said, do not be envious of large tents, do not abandon small tents, like going along the way. The unknown family is busy and flustered, spreading cushions, black smoke billowing. Request blessings and instructions. Request empowerment and blowing. Request scriptures and dedication. The children of the village gather to play. Food and drink fill the front. To this unknown, unfamiliar, and unrelated family, treat them with such respect and caution. Thinking about what this is, the teachers and students are all delighted and smiling. Even the tea dregs and leftovers are smeared on the eyes and neck. The faith is great, unreasonably great. At that time, the joy of gaining, that high feeling, is one of the eight worldly concerns. Let the thought of joy disappear without foundation into the realm of view, and if the two thoughts of gaining and not gaining are definitely equal and of one taste, then that one taste is in that small place. Once a breakthrough is made, it is made at that time. The tenth chapter of the song of equanimity of gain and no gain. When Geson and the diligent Gyatsoba were traveling a long distance in Kardo, they sprained their ankles due to the steep mountain road, and were hungry due to the long journey. Heavy rain and hail fell, soaking them. Robbers, mad dogs, and wolves appeared. The suffering of not getting food, the suffering of not getting warmth, and the suffering of not being able to escape, there are three sufferings in total. They abandoned the painful worldly family. I have no reason to suffer. We teachers and students, apart from talking about it, have no other property to rely on. Why are we suffering like this? Abandoning this life, wandering around, losing face, and the patrons will also be annoyed.
