May it be auspicious! I have not done any harmful deeds. When faithful disciples appear, why are they so stingy? When harsh and unpleasant thoughts arise, look at their essence and let them relax and rest. Meditate on the practice of giving and taking with love and compassion. When you have done something wrong, it is you who cannot bear the suffering. When you have not done anything wrong, but receive much slander and bad words, it is like sweeping away defilements with a broom. They are helping me purify my defilements without any purpose, so why be unhappy? Meditate on taking on the burden. Thus, when both pleasant and unpleasant things are treated equally in the state of realization, then the great equanimity is there. Through effort, greatness will come. Pleasant and unpleasant things are worldly dharmas. The chapter on the song of equanimity is the twelfth. Furthermore, Karma Tsondu, by keeping selfish desires in his heart, will not bring about meaningful benefit for others. From the depths of your heart, without selfish desires, placing beings in the state of Buddhahood, if you grasp the good intention, like grasping the philosopher's stone, iron will turn into gold, and everything you do will go towards the path of enlightenment. Most non-virtue will turn into virtue. When the crops are very good, just as the chaff naturally appears, without thinking of self-interest, it will be naturally accomplished. The Buddha always acts for the benefit of others, and attains enlightenment for his own benefit. Ordinary people strive for their own benefit, but without achieving their own benefit, they fall into the lower realms. Gyalse Shiwala (Shantideva) said, look at this difference. If you do not understand such intention, even if you practice the supreme secret mantra, it will be difficult to go towards the path of enlightenment. On this, Dakpo Lhaje said, this is the way to make Dharma into Dharma, it is a profound instruction. The root of benefiting others is the song of intention, which is the thirteenth chapter. This small song, the thirteenth chapter, was spoken by Ra Ga A Syas, after being urged by Tsondu Gyatso, in the evening hours of the sixth, seventh, and eighth days of the red side of the first month of the Wood Snake year (1905), in accordance with his own experience. Lama Bima Sagari, riding on a horse of finger lightning, wearing the heat of the victorious moon on his head, wearing the armor of great patience, for the benefit of future generations, riding a swift and diligent steed, wrote it on the surface of a conch-colored paper with ink that resembles the color of lapis lazuli.
