For example, like the moon on the third day of the lunar month, even though it is small, it is definitely the moon. Now, although the power of practice and realization has not increased, the realization of the Great Seal has arisen. It is said that from here, one also obtains the name of a realized being. After that, even if the essence does not change, there is still a slight clarity and dimness. Practice is a small part, and realization is a large part. Practice is not completely pure, and the clarity and dimness in practice will occur many times. When practicing single-mindedly without distraction, there is no distinction between inside and outside, and one is equal and at ease. Apart from the undistracted mindfulness, this is aimless distraction. Whatever the eyes see, like a child entering a temple, although the eyes see it, there is no clinging to what it is. Appearance, the Great Seal of emptiness, truly appears. The pleasant and unpleasant sounds that the ears hear, without liking or disliking, like an echo in a valley, sound and the Great Seal of emptiness truly appear. Smells, tastes, and tactile sensations are also the same. When practicing without distraction, it is like this. When distracted, the five poisons of ordinary life arise. At this time, abandon worldly affairs as much as possible, do not do tedious things, and reduce Buddhist activities. If you practice single-mindedly, the effect will be very good. If there are many tedious things, the effect of practice is easy to disappear. Practice sometimes happens, and most of the time, except for drowsiness, the surrounding activities, sleep and dreams sometimes catch and sometimes do not. It can be determined that idleness is divided into small, medium, and large three types. No matter how the external sights, sounds, smells, and tastes appear, just like a lion catching a snow mountain, there will be no thoughts of fear, dread, or terror. Therefore, this is called the samadhi of bravely advancing. In reality, one wants to realize the selflessness of the person. Why? Because mind and self are the same meaning. Realize that the nature of mind is free from the three: arising, ceasing, and abiding. Be certain, believe, and be convinced that there is no such thing as "I" and "mind", and realize that there is no Dharmakaya other than the nature of mind. Therefore, in reality, it is the selflessness of the person. The selflessness of the person is half of emptiness. Even if the inner nature of mind has been determined, the outer appearance has not been determined, so there is no clinging to emptiness and non-emptiness. After that, the method of determining appearance is: land, stones, mountains, rocks, all beings, tents, beings, women, livestock, etc., the eyes

Rest the awareness on whatever is seen. By looking at its essence, they merge into one without separation. The outer form and the inner nature of mind, A state arises where there is no way to separate them. If you are accustomed to this, you don't need to meditate by focusing. Go with the flow of whatever arises spontaneously. Then, the four continents and the three thousand world systems, Visualize them in your mind and meditate until they merge without separation. Likewise, Mix and meditate on mind and space, Saying, "This is space, this is mind itself," They merge without separation, with no way to separate them. Likewise, mix mind with where space pervades. By looking at its essence, they merge into one without separation. There is no boundary to think, "This is space pervaded by mind," "This is not pervaded." Then, without needing to mix and meditate, All phenomena of existence, samsara, and nirvana, Although the appearance is clear, the essence is emptiness. The clear appearance is not obscured by emptiness, The form of objects is not obscured by emptiness, Like a rainbow, a reflection of the moon in water, a mirror image, It appears like that during practice or cultivation. During distraction, it is just ordinary delusion. The length of time of distraction depends on the diligence. During great distraction or suffering and fear, The time of distraction does not arise, mostly it arises back. When there is no happiness or suffering, there is much time for distraction. At this time, repeatedly awaken with mindfulness, Other than that, there is nothing else to meditate on. Rituals, Dharma practices, timely offerings, and so on, Mix them in order, without losing either. The mind of the Lama and your own mind itself, Inseparably mix them into one and look at the essence. The realization of inseparable merging arises from within. For example, the water of India and the water of Tibet, Although they are different and separate due to the region, In essence, they are one as water, without difference. Likewise, the mind of the Lama and your own mind, Essence is emptiness, nature is clarity, And there is no difference in the unimpeded arising of appearances. Below this is your own mind, above this is the Lama's mind, They merge into one without being separated. This is not just dry understanding, But when it arises from the confidence of realization, That is what is called the merging of mind and intention into one. Likewise, the Buddhas of the ten directions and three times, Mix their minds with your own and look at the essence. As before, the essence of inseparable merging arises. Likewise,
