It is not. With the seven-point posture of Vairochana, keep the body upright, When you leave your mind uncorrected and relaxed, You will not see anything, it is emptiness. Self-awareness is clear to itself, so it is luminosity. Without distraction, staying in one-pointedness is one-pointedness. Like a candle shining without wind at night. A great desire to meditate is found from within. With the certainty that this is meditation. Noises, water sounds, dog barks, etc., When they harm and do not stay, and wander there, One thinks that this place is not secluded, and it would be nice to go to a valley more secluded than this. If you cannot control your own mind, Like the story of the petals of the Naga King Ela, There is no place where the causes that steal Samadhi do not exist. Therefore, dog barks, water sounds, etc., When they are disturbing to the ears and wandering thoughts arise, Where did that thought first come from? Where does it stay in the middle? Where does it go in the end? What does it look like when it harms the mind? When examined carefully, it disappears into emptiness without a basis. That is not unsecluded, all the harmful thoughts, Take that as the object of focus and meditate diligently. Then, all the causes that do not harm will arise as helpers. Then, gradually, the state of meditation becomes greater. Like a small fire spreading into a great ocean, From the state of meditation, there is an attachment of thinking "it exists". Do not cling to that attachment, But look directly at the nature of the one who abides. Clearly see that the nature of abiding is emptiness. Abiding is Shamatha, emptiness is Vipassana, When the two are mixed into one, it is union. By practicing that, the body is comfortable and the mind is also comfortable. The mind is very happy thinking that there is no one happier than me. Desiring to sit, not wanting to stand and sit often, The craving for food and clothing is naturally small. With the power of the comfort that pervades the body and mind, Most of the day is spent without distraction. At night, Sometimes caught in the realm of dreams. At this time, what to do is the Guru Yoga, During breaks, only prayers and distant calls are profound. Do not look at examples, looking at them is neither helpful nor harmful. Then, that state of meditation like an ocean, After fading a little, clear emptiness arises nakedly. Like the sky after the clouds have broken, Clear, naked, and bright, certainty arises from the heart. Thinking that there is no realization greater than this. There is an attachment of thinking "clear emptiness is naked". Thoughts arise of thinking "clear" and "empty".

What is it? When looking at its essence, it vanishes into emptiness. There is no clarity or non-clarity, no emptiness or non-emptiness. Then, the intensity of clarity slightly fades. One thinks that everything is only emptiness. Even the earth, stones, mountains, rocks, plants, and houses, One thinks they abide in emptiness like the sky. The thought arises, 'Does my own body also not exist?' There is the clinging that thinks, 'It is emptiness.' Stare intently at the essence of that clinging. Emptiness and non-emptiness are both beyond expression. Thus, these three experiences of bliss, clarity, and non-thought, For some years, some months, some days, and so on, The order is uncertain, the length is uncertain, anything can happen. Due to a single cause such as suffering or quarrels, The good experiences of bliss, clarity, and non-thought vanish like a rainbow. The initial agitation increases as usual, Anger, rage, quarrels, and discursive thoughts, Greed, miserliness, craving for food and clothing, etc., Become stronger than before, and speech becomes sharp. That is a coarse experience, a sign of purifying obscurations. At that time, recognize it and gently relax the body and mind. By looking at the essence, great benefit arises. At this time, understand that the root of all dharmas is the mind. Realize that the essence of the mind is emptiness. Looking at the essence of the mind is the practice of meditation, It seems as if there is an observer and an object to be observed. There is a clinging to the certainty of one's own conviction. The four experiences of bliss, clarity, non-thought, and the coarse experience, Appear alternately like the spring sun. Sometimes there is dullness, fogginess, unclearness, and darkness. Even when looking, the essence of clarity and emptiness is not seen, One is dissatisfied and the mind is filled with weariness. At that time, tighten the posture of the body, And stare intensely with a fierce gaze. Likewise, when the mind looks at the mind, Like dirt rising in muddy water, Without a clear recognition of what the discursive thoughts are, Some vague and fleeting things arise in the mind. That is also called the dirt of the mind. It is also called the subtle movement of subtlety. In any direction, whether left, right, or front, etc., Gaze intensely with the eyes, Look at the essence and shorten the duration of the gaze. By doing this again and again, Awareness becomes sharp and the dirt of the mind is cleared. This is the supreme instruction of the peaceful ones. Thus, at the time of the experience of bliss, clarity, and non-thought, Let go of attachment to worldly affairs, Suppress the head of the five poisons of affliction, Maintain equanimity towards the eight worldly dharmas.
