Moreover, it is not always lasting; great changes occur. For example, when a white lion walks, it leaps a distance and then looks back. Similarly, when the mind looks back at the mind, this is called the meditation of the lion's majestic poise. This meditation is like meditating internally. To unite bliss, clarity, and non-thought, the mind focuses on one point, so it is called one-pointedness. The difference between great, medium, and small proficiency lies in the size, stability, and instability, etc. Of the two, shamatha and vipassanā, shamatha is more important. The way a new meditator practices, for example, the roar of a mud lion, does not obtain the lineage of the white lion, but because it is of the lion species, it subdues with its claws. Adorned with wondrous signs of bravery and a red mane. Similarly, this song at the time of one-pointedness, even if it does not obtain the actual realization of Mahāmudrā and Dzogchen, it subdues those who are overwhelmed by terminological concepts. Wondrous signs of bravery blaze with devotion to the lama. The way new meditators practice, this roar of the blue lion born from the mud, on the evening of the twenty-fourth of the waxing month of the Horse year, Rāga Asya arose in experience and spoke, and Bīrya Sāgara wrote it down. Sanskrit Romanization: Namo Mahāmudrāye, Literal Chinese meaning: Homage to the Great Seal!) If one practices in solitude regularly, the way experiences arise is like a summer meadow. All external appearances such as mountains, rocks, and walls, their essence is unestablished, all is emptiness. Even if running and jumping, one thinks there is no obstruction. If touched by the hand, hardness appears as it is. Even if flying into the sky in a lotus posture, one thinks one's own body is unestablished and unobstructed. If allowed, one cannot even jump a span high. The mind and space merge indivisibly into one. As space pervades, so does awareness pervade, and as awareness pervades, so does the Dharmakāya pervade. One thinks that the actual merging is this itself. There is clinging to thinking that it is merged and pervaded. When looking sharply at that clinging, the clinging to pervaded and unpervaded, merged and unmerged, naturally subsides, and an inexpressible experience arises. Previously, due to attachment and clinging to the experience of bliss and the experience of clarity, one strays into the desire realm and the form realm. At this time, the mind merges with space, and as space is infinite, so is the mind infinite. The mind is neither existent nor nonexistent, and apart from the mind, there is no dharma.

There is not even a speck of dust. There is nothing whatsoever in the mind. The thought that each of these enters into clinging. With the fault of holding certainty in the mind, one is lost in the four formless realms. Above that, no matter how good the experience and realization are, and no matter how high the realization is, it is similar, it is a change of experience, not realization. Emaho! The wisdom of bliss-emptiness Mahamudra and, the two places of straying of the six types of beings in the desire realm, are similar, similar, similar, with only a hair's breadth of difference. The clinging that thinks "it is bliss" is a place of straying. By looking at the nature of bliss, a clinging arises. Bliss-emptiness is inseparably the reality of Mahamudra. The seventeen places of straying of the form realm and, the wisdom of clear-emptiness Mahamudra, have no difference, but there is only a hair's breadth of difference. Clear-emptiness is naked, with the certainty of Yere. Thinking that there is nothing more superior than this is arrogant. That also depends on the difference between the size of arrogance, and one strays into the abodes of the gods of the four meditations, such as the retinue of Brahma and the forerunner of Brahma. Being called "straying" is the name of being born there. Sometimes, even if one is born like that, one does not stray, but if one clings to that as supreme, then dying in that state is it. Clear experience, even if it seems like there is clairvoyance, do not cling to arrogance and do not consider yourself important. By looking at the nature of clarity, it appears as emptiness. Clear-emptiness union is the reality of Mahamudra. At this time, in the boundary between sleep and non-sleep, a light like a crystal egg, a drop of moonlight, or a lamp appears in front of the eyes. As a condition, the state of dwelling on the surface of the mind, without being obscured by earth, stones, mountains, or cliffs, one sees what people living far away are doing. One hears what they say, etc., clearly like clairvoyance. Such things do not happen often, but sometimes they do. If one is arrogant, thinking that one is clairvoyant, it is an obstacle, and the progress of realization is cut off. That is called the luminosity of experience. Similarly, when one is lying down, one knows that one is asleep, and one seizes the luminosity of sleep. Even if it is a dark room, one's own home is as clear as day. What others are thinking in their minds is also clear, as if they themselves had said it. Those are called the luminosity of experience. If one says that one has clairvoyance and it is clear, and arrogance arises, then one enters the obstacles of demons. An example of anything appearing in the experience of a yogi, do not be arrogant.
