He also composed the commentary on the Vedas called 'Veda Commentary' and 'Vinaya Light'. Due to the request of the Madhyamikas, he composed 'Madhyamika Spike'. Due to the request of the Yogis, he composed commentaries on the Yoga Tantras that had no commentaries. Due to the request of the Mantrikas, he composed the 'Vajra Garland', 'Yoga Completion Garland', and 'Light Spike' three kinds, in response to the request for a treatise that compiles all the rituals of all mandalas. Due to the request of the Mother Tantra practitioners, he composed the famous Abhisamaya, replies to debates on many tantras, the 'Oral Instruction Spike' for the purpose of clarifying the meaning of all oral instructions, the 'Buddha Top Commentary', and the 'Abhaya's Lamrim' and so on. Due to the request of the Arya followers, he composed the 'Summary Commentary' and the 'Five Stages Commentary' and so on. Due to the request of the Kalachakra followers, he composed the 'Introduction to Calculation', replies to debates on the 'Tantra Root Commentary', and the 'Kalachakra Light' for the purpose of clarifying the key points. He also composed the oral transmission instruction Abhisamaya of Luyipa, the sadhana of Sahaja, Yellow Vajrasattva, Yeshe Khandroma, as well as four famous sadhanas and large and small sadhanas such as Manjushri. There, he composed thirty-three large and small treatises and commentaries. The great scholar and accomplished master Acharya Abhayakaragupta, who possessed such immeasurable qualities, did this. Third, for whose benefit was it done? In general, it was done for those who have entered the Secret Mantra, and especially for those Vajra Acharyas who rely on the Vajrayana and want to widely accomplish the benefit of themselves and others. Fourth, as for the measure of the text, the measure of the content to be expressed is the fifty rituals and their retinue that are closely needed by the Vajra Acharya, and as for the measure of the expressing text, the mandala ritual 'Vajra Garland' has two thousand seven hundred shlokas, the 'Sadhana Yoga Completion Garland' has one thousand three hundred shlokas, and the 'Homa Light Spike' has two hundred and seventy-five shlokas, these three are known as the Three Garlands. Fifth, the necessity is that, temporarily, the empowerment makes the continuum a vessel.

It makes one have the fortune to practice the path, and the supports such as body images that have been consecrated, as a special field of merit, are worthy of offering and generate blessings. Ultimately, it gradually has the activities of pacifying and so on, the common accomplishments of the eight great accomplished ones and so on, and the necessity of achieving supreme accomplishments in this life, at the time of death, and in the bardo and so on. Thus, this Indian Sanskrit text by Abhu has only twenty-eight actually taught mandalas. If one obtains this empowerment, there are forty-two mandalas, and counting the empowerment of the principal deity's transference of consciousness, there are forty-five mandalas, as well as fifty-five, and also five thousand eight hundred and seventeen. Therefore, having obtained empowerment in these twenty-eight similar mandalas actually spoken of here, and if one knows these rituals, one will have mastery over the empowerment rituals and path practices of the five thousand eight hundred and seventeen mandalas. So it is said. Therefore, after obtaining this empowerment, one actually obtains the empowerment of all the tantras of the New Tradition, so the benefit is very great. There were two ways of transmitting this empowerment: Paṇchen Śākyaśrī came and gave it once according to the Indian Sanskrit text itself, without separating the tantras. To this, the Tibetan geshes were slightly dissatisfied and asked, "Would it be okay to separate these into separate tantras and empower them?" He replied that it would be very good. Then he repeated it again in that way once. Therefore, two traditions of practice, earlier and later, became prevalent. The former is the twenty-eight mandalas without separating the tantras. To this, one practices like the Anuttarayoga Tantra of the four tantras, and empowers like the Anuttarayoga Tantra. Although it is prevalent in some places nowadays, the Tibetan scholars consider that what is said in the Indian Sanskrit text is a hidden instruction that one needs to rely on a teacher, and that doing so is an impure practice, so they forbade it. This practice is not of that tradition, but is praised by the commentary on the Vajramālā Indian Sanskrit text, and the Kriyāsamuccaya Indian Sanskrit text by the Indian paṇḍita Dārpana Acārla. This detailed and extensive practice is that the noble Gönchok Gyalpo (1034-1102) himself, having endured great hardships, went to Nepal, stayed there for a long time, and then...

Since this is the way to thoroughly learn the practice by pleasing the Great Bodhi, this practice is without error. Some say that since these three mandalas that bring auspiciousness are not mentioned in the Vajra Garland Tantra, it is unreasonable. However, since this is the practice of Pandit Darpan Acarya, the lineage holders of this Vajra Garland Tantra, such as Sasang Phakpa and Ngorpa Dorje Chang, and all the great Tibetan scholars will surely combine them, therefore, these forty-five mandalas were created. In general, this Vajra Garland Tantra is as famous as the sun and moon in China and Tibet. Furthermore, Sasang Phakpa inquired in detail about the transmission and mastery of this Vajra Garland Tantra. In the prophecy of the Great Orgyen (Padmasambhava), it says, "One named Kunga will appear in the direction of Tsang. He will revive the fallen secret mantra from its roots." As prophesied, Vajradhara Kunga Zangpo performed sixty Vajra Garland Tantra initiations. In Tibet, Kunkhyen Bu and Rong are famous like the sun and moon for illuminating the teachings of mantra. They made the teachings of the Vajra Garland Tantra flourish. In particular, the Fourth Shamarpa Chokyi Drakpa was skilled in tantra, including the Vajra Garland Tantra. In Jang Yangpachen, he established the practice offering of eighteen mandalas. Some of the ritual texts he composed are also popular in monasteries of Jolden, such as Reto Tsalmin. Moreover, in the Sutra of the Essence of Common Knowledge Sun, it says, "In the snowy kingdom of the north, the guide of humans, the victorious Dharma King, named Rinchen Pal will appear, and there will be millions of Sangha members." Therefore, in the Sutra of Complete Wisdom, it also says, "In the mountain ranges of the snowy north, one named Rinchen Pal will appear, that supreme being will be famous in the world. He will work for my teachings, and there will be eighty million Sangha members. For the benefit of beings, he will attain Buddhahood." As stated in the three extensive, medium, and concise sutras, the Salu Jangpa Sutra, the Lotus Sutra, the Sutra of Complete Wisdom, and the Accomplishment Witness Sutra, etc., and the twenty sutras and tantras, from the title of Kyobpa Jigten Sumgon, Rinchen Pal, onwards, the successive Drikung Shabdrung.
