Whatever merit is made by Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, and other noble beings, I truly rejoice in all of them, and dedicate them entirely to Bodhi. Accomplishing with the stainless moon-like play of mind, with the means of infinite supreme compassion, the Sugatas abiding in my own mind, I always take refuge. Completely liberated from all thoughts, the basis of all the excellent qualities of noble Bodhisattvas, the nature of all things being of one taste, I always take refuge in the supreme Dharma. Always liberated from all bonds, endowed with the glory accomplished by supreme compassion, I take refuge in the assembly of those who are masters of conduct, who have fully entered the grounds such as the Extremely Joyful. By the purification of thought and ripening, the imprints of all obscurations are completely removed, adorned with superior aspiration, I generate the supreme Bodhicitta. The sole path of the Sugatas and their children, the manner of the qualities of the ten white virtues such as generosity, the complete Buddha, I, with the wisdom of the entirety of my nature, now abide in reality. Thus it is said, or, I take refuge in the Three Jewels. Having done any of these, all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, please consider me. I, named so-and-so, from this time until reaching the essence of Bodhi, as the Protectors of the three times, to the placing of beings in Nirvana, reciting three times each, and taking the vows of common and uncommon grounds. Om Vajra Muh (藏文:ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་མུཿ,梵文天城体:ओँ वज्र मुः,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ vajra muḥ,汉语字面意思:Om, Vajra, Muh) Please invite the assembly to descend into the realm of self-nature. Meditating on the four immeasurables towards all sentient beings, may all sentient beings have happiness, may they be free from suffering, may they never be separated from happiness, and may they realize the equality of all dharmas. Om, emptiness, wisdom, vajra, nature, I). From emptiness, below is the vajra ground, solid, hard, and unified, and around it is the vajra fence, and above is the vajra net of arrows, and below it is the vajra canopy, and all around the outside is the vast and extensive vajra tent blazing with the fire of wisdom. This is the common protection circle.
