The great king said: Offer the entire kingdom, including the royal family and queen, as an offering for the empowerment. The great king, after residing in the human realm for three thousand years, will bestow the longevity empowerment. Then, in Yarma Lung, he performed the longevity empowerment practice, and Amitayus appeared in person, prophesying that if one were to drink this longevity water and the auspicious connection were complete, one could live for seven thousand years. At that time, Samye Lungpa was filled with wonderful fragrance. The king dreamed that Amitayus handed him a vase. Immediately after waking up, he thought it was time for the empowerment and prepared to go, but ministers Luyang and Ludangla seized the reins of the king's horse and prevented him from going. They said: This teacher from China and Nepal has great desires and may poison the longevity water, kill the king, and then usurp the throne. The king also became hesitant and did not go to receive the empowerment. Afterwards, because the king did not come, the teacher thought that the auspicious connection had been broken. In a place visible to some of the king's ministers, the vase was boiling with steam. The teacher himself drank a little nectar, and his body shone with radiance, and golden vajras sprouted from each pore. He sprinkled a little on the ground, and lotus flowers grew one by one. The remainder was poured into twenty-five longevity vases and buried as treasures in places such as Drakmar Dzobu Zurkhar stone stupa and Gyer Jema Karpo, along with their respective longevity practices. Afterwards, the king felt regret and said: My merit is shallow, and the auspicious connection for achieving the longevity Vidyadhara was not completed, but now please grant me a method to extend my life by three years. So he was granted an extension of twelve years. Afterwards, Guru Rinpoche, after King Trisong passed away, gave Prince Damdzin countless empowerments, scriptures, and instructions, and hid many treasures, prophesying that in the future, the prince himself would reveal these treasures in one lifetime and benefit beings. Afterwards, Guru Rinpoche went to the southwest to subdue the Rakshasas, and about nineteen generations passed.

At that time, there were lights and sounds, and great miracles of the treasure guardians, such as a large snake as big as a house pillar actually following. After that, according to the prophecy of Orgyen Rinpoche, he poured long-life nectar and gave long-life empowerments to eight Bodhisattvas such as Je Rolpai Dorje and Drigung Shyabdung. After that, there was the son of his body, Lama Yeshe, and twenty-one fortunate disciples of the Dharma Lord, the six Padma siblings, the four Vajra lineages, etc. It has been passed down in succession from both the lineage of descent and the lineage of disciples. Moreover, the benefits and necessity of this are: In this text, Guru Rinpoche said: In the degenerate age, life is short and there are many diseases, people do not practice virtue and indulge in evil, the dark side flourishes, life is short and prosperity is meager, there is no time to practice the Dharma, and death comes quickly. Even if one exists for a short time, one is tormented by food and clothing. Even if one remembers death, there is no time to practice, and in order to attain the deathless Vidyadhara, the Vidyadhara Long-Life Accomplishment, Sun and Moon Union, is taught. And, those of later generations who desire to attain the Vidyadhara of Long Life, practice me, Lotus-Born Vajra Padma. There is no doubt that you will attain the Vidyadhara of Long Life. Thus, by practicing the Vidyadhara Long-Life practice, just as illness is cured by medicine, or just as oil is added to an oil lamp when the oil is exhausted, precious life will be prolonged. By destroying the obstacles and demons to life, the accomplishment of long life will be attained. And, if one practices continuously, life will not be exhausted or diminished, ten will become a hundred, and a hundred will become a thousand. Alas! I, the dull-witted Kharchen Tso Gyal, through the power of praying with intense devotion to the great Lotus-Born Guru, the supreme emanation, was granted the Vidyadhara Long-Life Accomplishment, Sun and Moon Union. Lotus-Born Vajra gave the pith instructions on the meaning. I, for the benefit of future beings, have well-arranged the instructions and clearly recorded them.
