Like that, arrange them separately and place them behind. Arrange the camel food and charcoal as above. The medium Torma Repelling is: on a large iron pot, make a clay face. The eight auspicious tormas have no retinue, and are surrounded by nine hollow tormas in turn. The outer and inner colored arrows, arrows, banners, kyung birds, etc., are the same as above. In a small cast iron pot or a katora-like vessel, place one red nine-pointed torma, surrounded as if piled with all the messengers' food, and place it on the right. Place the offering torma in a full large plate on the left. Place the one with the zor behind, and the charcoal effigy in front. No food or camel is needed. The abbreviated Torma Repelling is: on a small iron implement with a clay face, insert one colored arrow each into the auspicious torma, thus gathering the hollow tormas. Place four zamba balls and wine for the main deity. Place four heart-shaped objects in the east, and four in the southeast. Other Dharma protectors' food, a little of each, about the size of a thumb, each symbol placed next to each other like a thumb. Place one colored arrow each and a kyung bird tsakali, make a banner and umbrella. It is okay even without the wrathful head and wheel, etc. Below, place nine wealth-attracting lingams, and on top of that, place zamba lingams. On top of that, arrange nine piles of barley on the base. One offering, this is arranging the row of offering tormas. All the old mantra practitioners who have had a lineage of practice from before do just that. The very abbreviated Torma Repelling is: in a copper or iron plate or skull, place the red torma main and retinue of nine, surrounded by thumbs, including the eight auspicious ones and the Dharma protectors. On the top, make one kyung bird and insert it. Make one zamba lingam to be suppressed. Offer or throw it after reciting it once. The great vidyadhara of Ngari was captured by the steward of Samye Monastery, imprisoned in an iron-cast cell, and given an iron lock. At midnight, Maning Gonpo came, opened the cell and the iron lock, took him away, and placed him on top of the white stupa of Samye Monastery. He escaped and fled to an empty stone cave above a valley. He himself, in the great secret place, placed nine symbolic tormas on a stone slab, sprinkled them with holy water, and after the wrathful one blessed them, he recited it once and threw it. The tormas turned into a huge fire and went away. The steward of Samye Monastery died suddenly and his lineage was cut off. It is said that this is the oral transmission of that ritual. Doing this on the nineteenth day of the torma can eliminate one's own obstacles. The very extensive Torma Repelling is the Samadhi ritual, it is best for a yogi to see the generation and completion stages.

If you are unable to prepare an elaborate gathering, do this: From the root verses of the "Kagye Desheg Chenpo Torma Zlogpa," an unadulterated terma text, it says: With a Bhancha branch and the essence of grains, make a torma. Turn back inauspiciousness, enemies, demons, and malevolent thoughts and actions. If there is no large piece of meat, use animal blood. If there is still none, make a fish shape out of tsampa, and target and destroy whichever enemy or demon is causing harm. Arrange ten tormas, or even just one good one. Display various meats, various bloods, or various flowers. Arrange a red torma complete with all ornaments. This is the meaning of what was said: In a copper or iron plate, on top of a good red torma, the fire mountain and garuda are the nine auspicious signs, the eight-petaled lotus is the mandala, the nine hooks facing outwards are the messengers, decorated with meat and blood, and a tsampa or paper effigy is placed head downwards. This is sufficient for the root torma and all fulfillment and turning back. The upper part of the flower mandala torma is an offering, the middle part is the fulfillment substance, and the lower part is visualized as the enemy and demon meat and blood turning back torma. Do whatever activities you wish, such as increasing or pacifying, and carry it out regularly for many days, or offer it once immediately. In this way, all elaborate or simple gatherings are completed. Next is the arrangement of the recitation method: Among the Kagye Kama or Nyang tradition, the extensive practice manual compiled by Longchen Rabjampa, and the one compiled by Zhikpo Lingpa, the medium one compiled by a student of Zhikpo Lingpa, the concise one is the Nyang tradition's Black Teaching. The Druru tradition's extensive one is compiled by Longchenpa, the medium printed version is compiled by a descendant of Chöwang, and the concise one is the Black Teaching. Choose one of these as the main one, and from the beginning of the recitation intention, follow the text. Then, the torma turning back ritual and its many parts, the Nyang tradition has both extensive and concise versions, the Chöwang tradition has a medium version, so you can recite them in rotation as you wish. The tradition of mixing and reciting the two Nyang and Guru traditions is very prevalent. It is said that using the six great assemblies is very important: the four praises and one, the general invocation of the Victorious Ones and two, the Phurba Tun and three, the six offerings and four, the six praises and five, and the seven meanings and six. This is the Katok tradition. The preliminaries are refuge and bodhicitta, white dispelling obstacles, and setting boundaries. After generating the deity with twenty-one heads, set the boundaries. The Guru tradition's Black Teaching follows the text, recitation and approach.
