Meditate on obtaining the power to cut off the inner self-grasping with the sword of wisdom and to cut off the birth gate of the six realms with the sword of compassion. Hūṃ! This is the wrathful lama's, the blazing sword held in hand, placed on your crown, may you obtain the power of the wrathful lama. Oṃ āguru krodha tikta abhiṣiñca hūṃ! (藏文：ཨོཾ་ཨཱགུ་རུ་ཀྲོ་དྷ་ཏིཀྟ་ཨ་བྷི་ཥིཉྩ་ཧཱུྃ།，梵文天城体：ओम् आगुरु क्रोध तिकत अभिषिञ्च हुम्，梵文罗马拟音：om aguru krodha tikta abhishinca hum，汉语字面意思：嗡 上师 忿怒 尖锐 灌顶 吽！)Then take the hooked knife in your hand. Now, the wrathful guru's hand implement, the hooked knife of burning sky iron lightning, to symbolize the five wisdoms, the tip upwards is a five-pronged vajra; to symbolize the nature of reality being free from elaboration, the center is round; to symbolize cutting off the single root, the lower end is a single-edged blade. Just by bestowing this empowerment, one realizes the meaning of the nature of reality being free from elaboration, and the five wisdoms are spontaneously accomplished. Meditate on cutting off the root of the eighty-four thousand afflictions at once. Hūṃ! This is the wrathful lama's, the hooked knife of lightning held in hand, placed on your crown, may you obtain the power of the wrathful lama. Oṃ āguru krodha karti abhiṣiñca hūṃ! (藏文：ཨོཾ་ཨཱགུ་རུ་ཀྲོ་དྷ་ཀརྟི་ཨ་བྷི་ཥིཉྩ་ཧཱུྃ།，梵文天城体：ओम् आगुरु क्रोध कर्ति अभिषिञ्च हुम्，梵文罗马拟音：om aguru krodha karti abhishinca hum，汉语字面意思：嗡 上师 忿怒 弯刀 灌顶 吽！)Then take the iron scorpion in your hand. Now, the wrathful guru's hand implement, the emanation of the sky iron scorpion with nine heads, nine mouths, nine eyes, and eighteen horns, the right horn piercing from the peak of existence, the left one stirring from the depths of the earth, the body radiating the sparks of vajra fire. Just by placing such a scorpion on your heads, may the scorpion devour all the obstructing spirits that harm your body, speech, and mind. From now on, meditate on obtaining the power to subdue all gyalpo spirits, senmo spirits, and damtsi spirits by turning their own executioners against themselves. Hūṃ! This is the wrathful lama's, the iron scorpion with nine heads held in hand, placed on your crown, may you obtain the power of the wrathful lama. Oṃ āguru krodha rakta abhiṣiñca hūṃ! Now, the wrathful guru's hand implement, the skull cup of wisdom filled to the brim with the heart blood of those who have slain the four maras, along with the tresses. Just by bestowing this empowerment, one realizes the meaning of unborn wisdom, dissolves the five poisons into the dharmadhatu, and meditate on obtaining the power to dry up the ocean of samsaric blood. Hūṃ! This is the wrathful lama's, the bhumpa filled with blood held in hand, placed on your crown, may you obtain the power of the wrathful lama.

May auspiciousness prevail! Oṃ āḥ guru krodha kapāla abhiṣiñca hūṃ! Then, take the khaṭvāṅga in your hand. Now, this burning khaṭvāṅga, the weapon of the wrathful guru, is the essence of Vajravārāhī, the wrathful black one, in the form of a symbolic weapon. With three points to sever the three poisons from their root. Three skulls, dry, wet, and old, spontaneously accomplishing the three kāyas. The vase of immortal life. The vajra accomplishing various activities. The ḍamaru proclaiming pleasant sounds, a crest of silk representing the five wisdoms. The bell holding the oral transmission. The straight and supple handle symbolizing the path to enlightenment. The mar-end with half a vajra, cutting off the doors to the lower realms. By merely bestowing this empowerment, contemplate receiving the empowerment of the union of skillful means and wisdom, bliss and emptiness. Hūṃ! This is the burning khaṭvāṅga, the weapon of the wrathful guru. By placing it on your head, may you receive the empowerment of the wrathful guru! Oṃ āḥ ca guru krodha triśūla abhiṣiñca hūṃ! Scatter flowers. Hūṃ! With the vajra subduing the three realms, vanquish the obstructing forces. Red and black flames, three eyes glaring fiercely. With two feet standing like a giant upon the obstructing forces. May auspiciousness prevail in understanding the symbolic meaning of the wrathful guru! Now, in order to request the inner and secret empowerments, please repeat after me. To the assembly of deities of the three roots, and to the wrathful guru with his retinue, I pray with one-pointed devotion, please grant me the inner empowerment! Oh, having prayed in this way, with the sound of the union of the wrathful guru and consort, all the assemblies of deities of the three roots are invited, enter into the mouth, and dissolve into the essence of nectar, bodhicitta. Merely by placing this skull cup filled with nectar on the head, the nectar quickly enters from the Brahma aperture and throat, filling all the channels and points of the body, thereby receiving the secret empowerment. By this, bliss and warmth blaze in the body, and the empowerment of wisdom-jnana is received. By abiding in its meaning, contemplate receiving the precious word empowerment. Then, take the nectar in your hand. Hūṃ! This is the uncontaminated nectar, by placing it on your head, may you receive the empowerment of the wrathful guru! May the three kāyas be spontaneously accomplished! Oṃ āḥ anta guru krodha amṛta kāyavākcitta sarva abhiṣiñca hūṃ! Scatter flowers. Hūṃ!
