Furthermore, this (ra) is also called that which averts ordinary beings. Some say that ordinary beings are averted by the supreme mundane dharma. If that were the case, it would follow that the supreme dharma is not an ordinary being. Some say that the supreme dharma and the forbearance of knowledge of dharma regarding suffering are unobstructed in averting ordinary beings and are in accordance with the path of liberation. Since they are merely contradictory in nature, the term "in accordance" is applied. In reality, ordinary beings are to be abandoned through meditation, so they are not abandoned through the path of seeing. This is what the Vaibhashikas assert. However, the assertion of the Vaibhashikas does not have the fault of the supreme dharma abandoning ordinary beings and thus not being an ordinary being, because it is said: "The path that leads to cessation completely abandons its obscurations." Therefore, the supreme dharma is in the process of abandoning, but it has not yet abandoned. Furthermore, although it is to be abandoned through meditation, since the karmic conditions for generating bad migrations are not complete, when the path of seeing is attained, like cessation, when the forbearance of dharma arises, the attainment of ordinary beings is cut off due to the lack of conditions, and thus it is abandoned. If this were not the case, it would follow that the one on the path of seeing is not a noble being. Therefore, the meaning of this is that the commentary says that the future itself averts ordinary beings. It is acknowledged that the function of that future is only that, and not anything else, just like a lamp and birth. The teacher Gangspel also said that there are three things that possess the ability to bring about the future: birth, a lamp, and the forbearance of knowledge of dharma regarding suffering. Just as a lamp that is being lit dispels darkness, and when it is extinguished, it burns trees and fire, so too, when the forbearance of knowledge of dharma regarding suffering arises, it abandons ordinary beings themselves, and when it ceases, it abandons the ten latent defilements. The teacher Prince Royal also said that one who has not attained the dharma of the noble ones is an ordinary being, and when that one attains the dharma of the noble ones, the attainment is cut off through the manner of deterioration, and thus it is averted. However, since it is not afflicted, it is not actually abandoned by an antidote, because it is said: "Afflictions are not form, they change through the arising of an antidote." Thus, if it is not afflicted, then the antidote arises.

Because this is unshaded and unindicated. Then, what is the difference between annihilation and abandonment? The first is the loss of attainment merely because the conditions are not complete, and the second is abandonment because the antidote has arisen. Therefore, because the loss of attainment is not associated with ordinary beings, only the noble ones are in the stage of Dharma-kshanti, and not ordinary beings. Thus, when Dharma-kshanti arises for suffering, it is said that it is abandonment because the non-substantiality of ordinary beings is attained. This is the meaning. After the Dharma-jnana-kshanti for suffering arises, then Dharma-jnana-jnana arises, focusing on the suffering of the desire realm itself. This is Dharma-jnana when one first knows the suchness of the Dharma of the desire realm, but not kshanti, because the previous wisdom has already destroyed fear. Just as the uncontaminated kshanti-jnana arises focusing on the suffering of the desire realm, so after the Dharma-jnana of suffering, the remaining part of the suffering of the desire realm, and the Anvaya-kshanti and Anvaya-jnana focusing on the truth of suffering of the two upper realms also arise. These wisdoms are Anvaya because they arise after Dharma-jnana, they are kshanti because they do not fear the Dharma-nature of the suffering of the upper realms, and they are jnana because they enter after destroying fear. Just as the four wisdoms that focus on the truth of suffering arise, so too should the three truths, such as origin, be understood in the same way. Thus, this path of realizing the truths is the sixteen moments of mind (uncontaminated). Realization means seeing directly. Here there is such an examination: Are the truths realized simultaneously, or are they realized in stages? If according to the first statement, the realization of the truths should not be sixteen, and if according to the second statement, what is to be abandoned will be abandoned in stages, then from the destruction of the great emptiness, immediately apply this view to, for example: the view of the collection of fears and the adherence to precepts and vows, as well as doubt and the three defilements are abandoned together, becoming a noble one seeing the truth, which contradicts what is said. The noble Sthavira and Dharma-rakshita schools, etc.
