Since serving both entails faults, it is not appropriate to venerate both sides. Therefore, they should not be venerated because they are always mixed with bhikkhu parents. Bhikkhu parents should also not accept their veneration, nor should they touch or trust them, for this reason.\ Then, the sutra says: 'Bhikkhus, dragons born from eggs appear on the eighth day of the half-month and abide near the uposatha with eight branches.' This contradicts the statement that animals can generate vows. If asked, then this is just a name given to good conduct, but it is not a vow. Do humans and gods have all the vows? If asked, then humans have the Pratimoksha vow, the Samadhi vow, and the Anāsrava vow, all three. The gods of the desire realm and the gods born in the form realm have the vow born from Samadhi, but not in the formless realm, because there is no form in their own realm. Moreover, those who have obtained it in the lower realm will lose it when they move to another realm. The Anāsrava vow is possessed by the gods of the desire and form realms (definitely in the Pure Abodes, possibly elsewhere), except for the sentient beings Mahābrahmā and the Unconscious Beings who have special Samadhi, and also in the formless realm (for the noble ones, in terms of possessing past and future). Although there is no form in the formless realm itself, those who have obtained the Anāsrava vow in the form realm and have not lost it when they are born in the formless realm still possess it. Mahābrahmā and the Unconscious Beings do not possess it, the first because they have inverted views, and the second because they are in a non-leisurely state. Ācārya Vasubandhu also said: The Pratimoksha vow is only possessed by humans, not by gods. The sutra says: The gods are overwhelmed by humans in three ways: bravery, mindfulness, and abiding in brahmacarya here. The brahmacarya mentioned here refers to becoming the object of ordination and fully ordained bhikkhus. Because there is no weariness, even the wise gods of the desire realm do not have it, so what need is there to mention those born in higher realms? However, the higher...

For meditative stabilization and undefiled discipline, according to their respective circumstances, they arise from the power of cause, action, and dharma-nature. Superior meditative stabilization and unconscious beings do not have the undefiled, because noble ones do not arise in those two. In the formless realm, the undefiled exists because it possesses the discipline of the undefiled, but its manifestation does not exist, because there is no form there. This is what is said. Some Mahayana masters believe that the Great Brahma born from the power of karma does not have the undefiled, but Bodhisattvas also arise as Great Brahma due to the power of aspiration, so they believe that they have the undefiled. However, the Vaibhashikas do not consider the Bodhisattvas born there to be noble, so they do not believe that they have the undefiled. Second, elaborating on the actions mentioned in the sutras. Now, the classification of actions mentioned in the sutras is found in the Sutra of Three Sections: "Merit, fault, impurity, with impurity, misdeeds are threefold; purity, victory, bodily merit, non-merit, the departed, etc., the Sugata clearly stated. Gathered by the three abodes, and the three of intentional thought and speech, the three actions with the past and virtue, learning and seeing and desire and form, happiness in the seen dharma, and mental happiness and suffering, wrong view to be abandoned, small, and stinginess and non-stinginess, greed and non-greed, etc., are also correctly combined in the assembly." What is said above is to explain the meaning of these sutras, therefore, dividing actions into three categories, dividing into the transformation of experience, dividing into four categories such as black and white, dividing into victory and purification, dividing into good deeds and bad deeds, dividing into ten virtues and ten non-virtues, dividing actions into those with results, dividing into those born from reason and unreason, dividing into projecting actions and completing actions, explaining the three obscurations, explaining the five heinous crimes, explaining the five near heinous crimes, explaining the three bases of meritorious activities, explaining the three harmonious parts, explaining the three actions thoroughly engaged by wisdom, there are fifteen in total. First, dividing into three categories. The first is, in the Sutra of Three Sections, it is said that there are three types of actions: virtuous, non-virtuous, and unspecified, among which, for a time, the ripening of actions produces pleasant happiness.
