It is said that the reason why "ཀ་བྱེད་" is said to be great is because its meaning is very numerous, not because it is perfect. In "གདགས་པ་" and "ས་ལས་", in the east, south, west, and north of the Yoke-holding Mountain (i.e., the four directions above, each side with a circumference of two hundred and fifty yojanas), there are the Boundary Mountains with a circumference of a thousand yojanas, as well as the palaces named "འཕགས་སྐྱེས་པོ་", "སྣ་ཚོགས་གཟུགས་", and "ལྕང་ལོ་ཅན་". In these palaces, the great kings Dhṛtarāṣṭra, Virūḍhaka, Virūpākṣa, and Vaiśravaṇa, along with their retinues, reside in order, adorned with great heavenly wealth. It is said that on the second tier of Mount Meru are those who hold blood, and on the fourth tier are those who hold garlands. On the summit of Mount Meru are the Thirty-three (Gods). Why are they called the Thirty-three (Gods)? (The Sutra on Mindfulness states:) Because they reside in the thirty-three places named Good Dharma, Sight, Mountain Peak, Good Sight, One Side, Tree Interval, Various Vehicles, Joy, Wonderful, Universal Gathering, Mixed Danger, Dense Forest Danger, Jewel Heart, Universal Light Practice, Golden Cave Chamber, Garland Shadow, Lower, High Practice, Various Adornment Divisions, Entering Union, Subtle Practice, Extremely Joyful in Song and Delight, Blazing with Majesty, Traveling Like the Lunar Abode, Twin Trees, Walking with Open Eyes, Walking with Closed Eyes, Body Color Wonderful and Vast, Jewel Pendant, Homogeneous, Residing with Retinue, High Practice, Supreme Majesty, Garland of Majesty, Unmixed, therefore they are called the Thirty-three (Gods). Or, water and moon are shown, holding wind and fire, and the dawn light maker, these eight are called gods of wealth. Also, unborn, one-legged, increase and praise, fierce and endowed with diligence, the taker and the birth of happiness, three-eyed, victorious over others, independent and the three earths, the eleven fierce ones should be known. And, the independent actor, the road and the rain, the praiser

Previously not excellent. Eye-shaped, all-pervading, radiant, and the water lord Yama, as it is said, the twelve suns, the lord of hosts, and the son of Mrigashīrsha, who is the son of Rohini, two youths, totaling thirty-three.) Therefore, there are eight wealth gods, eleven fierce gods, twelve sun gods, and two sons of Rohini, that is, thirty-two lords and near lords, totaling thirty-three, is it for this reason? Complete equal magic, extreme descent, green grass, fresh mind, the immediate method of flowers, joyful gardens, and so on, thirty-three places that can be proclaimed to the inhabitants of Jambudvipa, is it for this reason? Each side of Mount Meru is eighty thousand yojanas in length, so the circumference is three hundred and twenty thousand yojanas, so the scholars say. In the Root Vinaya, it is also said: Each side of Mount Meru is also eighty thousand yojanas, so its circumference is three hundred and twenty thousand yojanas. The scholar Dundzang says that each side is twenty thousand yojanas in length, so encircling all sides is eighty thousand yojanas, and what is said in the Vinaya is in terms of the water boundary. The four directions of Mount Meru, according to the establishment, each side is one hundred and twenty-five yojanas, encircling the perimeter is five hundred yojanas. In height, it is said to be five hundred yojanas higher than this earth. According to the establishment, there are four and a half yojanas of upward projecting structures, in some of which dwell yakshas holding vajras and wearing blue clothes, who are there to protect the negligent gods, so the scholar Gangpel says. The Lord of Secrets emanates into their forms to benefit sentient beings, but does not belong to their retinue. It is said that, according to the establishment, from west, south, east, and north, they are made of the nature of silver, beryl, crystal, and gold, respectively. In the center of the summit of Mount Meru, there is a city called Sudarshana, each side of which is two thousand five hundred yojanas, and the circumference is ten thousand yojanas. Its height is two and a half (or two and a third) yojanas, made of gold, with a beautiful shape, pleasing to the eye, and beautiful, with six precious pillars.
