It should be written. (Also in "Commentary on the Upper Part of the Earth," it says that if the scent travels, not in the direction of the scent, it is reasonable. If it is said that it is not seen here, then in that case, the formless realms would also not exist. Furthermore, the difference in material conditions between that and here means that it is not contradictory for the scent to rise in the direction of the scent, because it is manifested by the difference in karma. For example, here, sound does not arise from a drum unless it is beaten, but there, sound arises even without being beaten.) Satön Depa says that in the direction of the scent, the fragrance rises for a hundred yojanas. If there is no wind, it rises for fifty yojanas. Such a tree is the wish-fulfilling tree of the Thirty-Three, bestowing the qualities of desire. Beside that tree is a stone slab like a white creeper, fifty yojanas in width and length, a square surrounded by two hundred yojanas, with a height of six and a half yojanas and one-eighteenth of a yojana, adorned with one hundred and one colors, smooth to the touch, covered with Mandara flowers up to the knees. In the center of that slab is the lion throne of Indra, and beside it are the lion thrones of the attendants and so forth. The lord of the gods, Indra, together with his retinue, enjoys the pleasures of the gods for four months in the summer and experiences the fruits of their respective karmas, as stated in the Gadhapa. Southwest of the city (twelve yojanas away) is the Sudharma Hall, where the gods gather to discuss what should and should not be done. It is three hundred yojanas in width and length, nine hundred yojanas in circumference, and rises four and a half yojanas above the city of the gods. It is beautiful and pleasing to the eye. The ground, the first story, the coverings, the main beams, the four peaks of the second story, the platform supports, and the nine platforms are all made of crystal, as white as five piles of white clouds. It is surrounded by railings of four kinds of jewels. Each of the nine platforms is supported by sixteen pillars. In the center is a beryl pillar, eight-sided, clear, and unobstructed, not touching the main beam by the width of a hair. Beside it is a golden throne prepared for Indra to teach the Dharma.

Around (Trayastrimsha), golden thrones of other close ministers are arranged, and the gods of Trayastrimsha gather there to contemplate and discern the Dharma for the benefit of gods and humans, and to discuss the prospects of Dharma and non-Dharma. When the gods of Trayastrimsha reside there, the guardians of Trayastrimsha, the Four Great Kings, along with those who live on servants and food, the sons of the Four Great Kings, and the Four Great Kings themselves, in turn, patrol the entire world on the eighth, fourteenth, and fifteenth days of each month, proclaiming what is in accordance with the Dharma and what is not in accordance with the Dharma to the people of the world. At that time, upon hearing something that is not in accordance with the Dharma, the gods are displeased and rebuke it; upon hearing something that is in accordance with the Dharma, they rejoice and praise it. The road from the city of the gods to the Sudharma Hall is twelve yojanas long and two yojanas wide, spread with golden sand and sprinkled with sandalwood water, with various flowering and fruit-bearing trees growing on the left and right, and various birds that grow from the plains making pleasant sounds. From this, it is evident that the Sudharma Hall is twelve yojanas away from the city. Such a Sudharma Hall, according to the "Establishment Treatise," is said to be located in the southeast, while according to the "Actualities of the Earth," the Sudharma Hall is located in the northeast of the city, and the Tree of Universal Gathering is located inside the city, but it does not say in which direction. The "Sutra Requested by the Righteous Man" states that the Sudharma Hall is a flat square with a circumference of one hundred yojanas. In addition, Indra has an elephant named Well-Dwelling used for battlefields, and an elephant named Elephant-Guardian used for pleasure gardens. Each of these two elephants has a circumference of seven yojanas and a height of two and a half yojanas, and each elephant is equipped with eight thousand elephant servants. Also, roughly located north of the western continent called Jambudvipa, there is a horse king named Cloud-Force, equipped with eight thousand horse servants. The great drum of the gods, named Dharma-Increasing, proclaims: All conditioned phenomena are impermanent, all contaminated phenomena are suffering, all dharmas are without self, and Nirvana is peace. So, sons of the gods, why be heedless?
