Therefore, they believe that it will not become without contact. The Sautrāntikas and others hold that birth, etc., which are distinct from vases and other things, do not exist, because no self-nature that can be relied upon as a valid measure is found, just as a vase is not found on the ground. Furthermore, if one believes that conditioned phenomena and birth are different, then conditioned phenomena themselves will become unborn. If it is birth itself, then it will not be different either. If it is neither birth nor non-birth, then these actions will not become contradictory. Then, what does the sutra mean when it says, "What is it that two monks cannot kill? Shariputra, it is those who approach the realm of neither perception nor non-perception."? Here, self-death refers to the absence of outflows in one's own realm, and being killed by others refers to abandonment through the proximity of higher realms. It means that in the realm of neither perception nor non-perception, both of these are absent. Then, even in the realm of neither perception nor non-perception, can it be abandoned by the noble path of other realms? If it is believed that abandonment through the ground of equanimity is abandonment through the absence of outflows in one's own realm and the proximity of higher realms, then both grounds of equanimity are included there. Furthermore, if one believes that birth is different from conditioned phenomena, then birth will become unconditioned. If it is neither conditioned nor unconditioned, then these will not become contradictory distinctions. Therefore, it contradicts what is said in the sutra, "Whatever has the nature of arising, all of that has the nature of ceasing," because the sound of dharma-nature is considered to be self-nature. Similarly, aging and other meanings should also be stated in this way. These three are the characteristics of conditioned phenomena, and so on. The meaning of the sutra is that the first continuum of conditioned phenomena is birth, the subsequent continuum is abiding, the difference between the earlier and later continuum is change of abiding, and the cessation of the continuum is impermanence. These are also the self-nature of conditioned phenomena, and not others. As it is said in the commentary of the teacher: "The first of the continuum is birth, cessation is destruction, abiding is that, the difference between earlier and later is, the change of abiding itself." And "Arising from non-existence is birth, the continuum abiding is destruction, the earlier and later of the continuum

Ye Drak considers that existence transforms into another state. This is what is said. The Sutra Pitaka does not speak based on the momentariness, because if a moment is destroyed at each moment, then it is impossible for it to exist, and even if it exists, it is not a moment. It is also not right to say that a moment exists in one moment, because it is the ultimate of non-existence. As the commentary says: If there is no abiding in the momentary dharma, it will be destroyed. Therefore, thinking about it is meaningless. Among them, "if there is no abiding, it will be destroyed" means that it is destroyed because there is no existence. "It" refers to the moment. Thinking about "it" refers to existence. Therefore, the moment is not existence because it is destruction. This also does not prevent considering the arising and impermanence of the moment as the same meaning, so it is considered as the same meaning. There is also no aging in the moment, as the commentary says: Similarly, it will not age, if it transforms, that is another. Therefore, on one thing, aging is unreasonable. Because aging is transforming into another, one moment itself should not transform into another, and even if it transforms, it is not reasonable to become one moment. Therefore, the meaning of the Sutra Pitaka is spoken based on the continuum, not based on the moment. If it is considered as the nature, then it will not pervade the moment, so the nature of conditioned phenomena is indeed the arising of what was not there before, and after arising, it is extinction. As the Sutra Pitaka says: Conditioned phenomena refers to arising from what has not arisen, and after arising, it no longer arises, this is the nature of conditioned phenomena. If one thing possesses four natures at the same time, then birth, death, dwelling, and aging will occur simultaneously, and if it does not possess them, it will not become a conditioned phenomenon. If the future arising acts on the future dharma, and the present dharma acts on existence, etc., then there is no fault because the times are different. If the future arising produces conditioned phenomena, then all conditioned phenomena will arise simultaneously.
