(Having abandoned what is abandoned by seeing) cessation is different (ninety-nine kinds, etc.), thus it is established. (Secondly, eliminating contradictions with the scriptures is:) Then, in the Sutra of Dharma Giving in the Middle Agama, (her former husband,) the venerable Saga asked the Bhikshuni Dharma Giving, "Holy Mother, is cessation similar to you?" If the answer is, "Venerable Saga, it is not similar," how should it be said? If they are different (and numerous), then those cessations would become similar. The answer is: It is true, but this sutra is (because the discriminating cessation is permanent,) the cause of cessation being similar (other existences), and cessation also (itself) is the cessation of the cause of some similarities. (That is, it is believed that only conditioned phenomena are the cause of similarity, therefore,) it is not showing that there is no similarity between cessations at all, this is the explanation of the Vaibhashikas. If it is believed that the substance of cessation arises differently in the continuum in sequence, then it will fall into impermanence and conditioned phenomena, because the place, time, and substance change in turn, like sprouts, etc., this must be eliminated by the Vaibhashikas. The Sutrantikas believe that cessation is only separated from the defiled dharmas to be abandoned by the power of the antidote, and there is no distinction between one and different for the selflessness. The Vaibhashikas believe that the truth of cessation is said to be one of the four noble truths in the sutras, so cessation exists as a substance, like the truth of the path. The second cessation (the basis of which is the distinction of being unconditioned, non-obscured, unspecified, and established as a substance, that is, the sutra says that the going of the stream-enterer to the evil realms has ceased, so if it is only the lack of conditions, then sometimes it may also be close to that condition and arise, so in order to never be born in the evil realms forever, cessation exists as a substance, for saying this view, its definition is:) Whether it belongs to the defiled or undefiled (by the power of lacking conditions), it permanently hinders the arising of future dharmas, other than discriminating cessation, it is non-discriminating cessation, that is, it is permanently separated by the power of lacking conditions (for example, the path of a faith-follower relies on any of the six desire realms, the only

If one becomes ignorant, then the remaining five and the path of following the Dharma will also not be attained. This is because the path of seeing in the Lesser Vehicle does not arise twice. When the forbearance of knowing the Dharma arises in suffering, the future will also be the same, because the previous reason is reversed. Therefore, since there is no separate examination and the conditions are not complete, such future dharmas will certainly prevent arising, and this is called non-discriminating cessation. )Bao.) (Because it is obtained without the wisdom of separate examination of sounds and meanings, it is called non-exclusion, or because it is obtained due to the lack of conditions other than the wisdom of separate examination, it can also be called non-exclusion. Therefore, it is called non-discriminating cessation.) Among them, there are five cessations: impermanence, meditative absorption, arising, separate examination, and non-examination. Among them, what is called hindering arising eliminates the cessation of impermanence, because it hinders the present existence (already arisen) and does not hinder arising. The cessation other than the cessation of separate examination eliminates the cessation of separate examination. What completely hinders eliminates the two meditative absorptions, the unconscious, the conditioned, and space, because the first three (although the object of negation is the future) only temporarily hinder arising, the conditioned is born with arising, and it has been previously explained that space has no hindrance. An example of this is that when the eye (consciousness) and mind are distracted by the color blue, the root consciousness that focuses on other objects (yellow, etc., and sound, etc.) does not arise (the reason why it does not arise now is that it cannot distinguish the aspects of multiple immediately preceding causal consciousnesses, so it lacks those other than grasping blue. The reason why it does not arise in the future is that it lacks the objective condition, because those previous objects have become past. The five root consciousnesses have the present as their object, so they do not have the power to focus on the past.), it should be understood that it is like this. Here, the four sentences mentioned in the commentary are that, in order to obtain only the cessation of separate examination, the basis of negation is (the four sentences related to the two cessations are a general explanation, and the third sentence is a separate
