Regarding the length of those times, the ultimate instant is the shortest limit of time, and there is no time shorter than that. Its length is one instant of mind, and the time it takes for a mote of dust to turn upside down, and one part of the time it takes to clap a cymbal once, divided into four parts, totaling three. The length of one hundred and twenty ultimate instants is one instant, which is the time it takes for a bird to fly. The length of sixty instants is one snap of the fingers. Having recited this mantra, Vajra summoned all beings in the lower realms and placed them outside the summit of Mount Meru, and called out to them, saying: "O patient ones, take refuge in the Three Jewels, and take this mudra and essence that liberates from all vows, precepts, and lower realms." After saying this, those beings in the lower realms said, "Lord, please save us from this torment of suffering. We take refuge in the Buddha, Dharma, Sangha, and also in you." Just like that, one should contemplate similarly here. Then, from the Vajra Knot Mudra, raise the middle fingers, straighten the two thumbs and little fingers, rub and untie them, which is the mudra that destroys sins. By reciting "Om Vajrapani Visphotaya (藏文：ༀ་བཛྲ་པཱ་ཎི་བི་སྥོ་ཊ་ཡ་，梵文天城体：，梵文罗马拟音：oṃ vajrapāṇi visphoṭaya，汉语字面意思：Om, Vajrapani, make it burst forth)" and so on, all the sins and obscurations of those beings in the lower realms are destroyed. Those beings then die from there and are born at the feet of Vairochana, and their bodies are thrown into the ocean, which also corresponds to what happened before. The meaning of the mantra is that Vajrapani (藏文：བཛྲ་པཱ་ཎི་，梵文天城体：，梵文罗马拟音：vajrapāṇi，汉语字面意思：Vajrapani) is calling the one holding the vajra.
