Yes. Ātma (Tibetan, Devanagari: आत्म, Romanized Sanskrit: ātma, literal Chinese meaning: self-nature) is self-nature. Ahaṃ (Tibetan, Devanagari: अहं, Romanized Sanskrit: ahaṃ, literal Chinese meaning: I) is me, meaning the self-nature of the indivisibility of the realm of emptiness and the wisdom of the realm, that is me, which is the meaning of meditating on emptiness. From the state of emptiness, the first letter of the deceased's name, decorated with a bindu (Tibetan, Devanagari: बिन्दु, Romanized Sanskrit: bindu, literal Chinese meaning: dot), appears and is completely transformed. Visualize the deceased as they were in life, possessing ordinary appearances, possessing the five aggregates of form, feeling, etc., as well as the six realms of form, etc., the six sense organs of eye, etc., the six consciousnesses of eye consciousness, etc., a total of eighteen realms, the six entrances of form, sound, etc., the six entrances of eye, ear, etc., a total of twelve entrances, all clear and complete. Second, there are two aspects to summoning and abiding the consciousness of the deceased: summoning with mudras and truthful words, and summoning and abiding with rays of light. The first is: form the vajra-bound mudra inwardly, extend the two index fingers, slightly bent like hooks. Extend the two little fingers like needles, placing or visualizing them placed on the crown of the deceased's head. Recite the summoning mantra Oṃ Vajrasattva Hūṃ Jaḥ (Tibetan: ༀ་བཛྲ་ས་ཏྭ་ཧཱུཾ་ཛྫཿ, Devanagari:, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ vajrasattva hūṃ jaḥ, literal Chinese meaning: Om, Vajrasattva, Hum, Jah), meaning summon the Vajra mind. This should also be recited for secret terrifying Vajra and other deities. It is not appropriate to translate the mantra into other forms. If connected to the previous event, when the previous root tantra was summarized and spoken, when the Great Powerful Lord manifested the appearance of creating obstacles, the Blessed One Vajrapani suppressed the Powerful Lord under his feet and killed him. The Blessed One, knowing this, said to Vajrapani, "You should listen to the teachings of all the Buddhas and release this Powerful Lord from under your feet." Vajrapani said to the Blessed One, "I have been empowered by all the Buddhas as the King of Wrathful Ones who subdues all the unruly. I have killed him, how can I release him?" At that time, all the Tathagatas, in order to save the life of the Great Powerful Lord, bestowed upon Vajrapani the heart essence mantra for summoning the consciousness of the dead, Oṃ Vajrasattva Hūṃ Jaḥ (Tibetan: ༀ་བཛྲ་ས་ཏྭ་ཧཱུཾ་ཛྫཿ, Devanagari:, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ vajrasattva hūṃ jaḥ, literal Chinese meaning: Om, Vajrasattva, Hum, Jah), this mantra was taken from his heart and bestowed.

Place the previously mentioned hand seal on the head of the corpse of a great wealthy person. By reciting the mantra, invoke the consciousness of the Lord of Power and insert it into the body, transforming it into a living being. This is the application of a previous biographical story to the practice of later followers. Here, there is a doubt to be resolved. Some of the Upper School say that performing the ritual is sufficient, and there is no need to summon consciousness, and even if summoned, it cannot be summoned. If it could be summoned, it would be possible to revive the dead, which is an unreasonable statement. Whether consciousness can be summoned or not, one should believe that it can be summoned, and then perform bathing and other rituals, which will bring great benefits. If this is not done, the benefits will not be as great. For example, when performing actions against enemies and obstacles, create their image, first set the goal of summoning consciousness, then visualize the enemy and obstacle, and then perform the action, so that the interdependent relationship will cause them great harm. If you do not summon consciousness, etc., but only perform actions on the image, the harm will not be as great. If you think that consciousness cannot be truly summoned, then performing the ritual is useless, then, even if you visualize yourself as a deity, you will not truly become a deity, so visualizing yourself as a deity becomes meaningless. Similarly, in the case of the seven-branch offering, etc., if Buddhas and Bodhisattvas are invited, if they do not truly come, then all accumulation of merit and purification of obscurations will become meaningless. Therefore, at that time, whether they truly come or not, relying solely on believing that they truly come, to accumulate merit and purify obscurations is also meaningful. If this is not the case, then you who say such things will be slandering all karma and its results, because wishing to benefit others in your mind, and taking refuge and praying with faith in the Guru and the Three Jewels, will not produce benefits, and thinking of harming others in your mind, and doing evil thoughts, etc., will be considered without sin, which will lead to great faults. If you think that for beings who have already taken another rebirth, there is no need to summon consciousness, this can also be done. The Great Commentary says: Even if there is no opportunity for him to actually come here because he has already taken another rebirth, performing the ritual of summoning consciousness will bring great benefits. If this is not done, the benefits will be small.
