It is also because of dedication. Among them, what does not need to rely on dedication is aspiration, but aspirations with dedication content are both dedication and aspiration. Without explicitly using the term "aspiration," but dedicating the roots of virtue to perfect Bodhi, this is the main dedication, but it also contains the expectation of the mind, so it can also be considered an aspiration. True dedication and aspiration need to be done in the heart, so the dedication and aspiration expressed in words are only nominal dedication and aspiration, just like the refuge expressed in words is only nominal refuge. It is common to name the expressed thing with the words of expression. Second, for those good men who believe in the supreme Mahayana, if they recite and practice this "Samantabhadra's Aspiration for Excellent Conduct," then that person will abandon all three evil destinies. He will also abandon the evil friends who lead him to unwholesomeness and inferior Bodhi. Moreover, he will quickly see Amitabha Buddha face to face. Third, those who recite aspirations as described above, they have obtained great benefits, because they have obtained the opportunity to recite such a supreme and precious aspiration. This is called living by virtue, because they live by virtuous Dharma. Here also appears "living in happiness," but this is not contradictory. They will also live well in this life and are called lucky people, because they make life meaningful. Not only that, they will effortlessly become like the noble Samantabhadra. Fourth, if someone, due to ignorance and delusion, commits the five inexpiable sins of killing their father, killing their mother, killing an Arhat, causing dissension in the Sangha, and maliciously harming the Tathagata to draw blood, then if he recites this "Samantabhadra's Aspiration for Excellent Conduct" with great faith, all his sins will be quickly and completely purified. Here, the five inexpiable sins have two meanings: immediately after death, falling into hell without interval between the next life; and feeling the mature suffering in an unbearable way.

Two arise. The doubts about this are as mentioned above. The second has two: the benefits at the time of cause, and the benefits at the time of result. The first is: Making such aspirations will, in all future lives, possess the wisdom to distinguish between what to adopt and what to abandon, as well as having a beautiful form, adorned with excellent marks and signs, being born into a family with noble parents and a pure lineage, and possessing good qualities such as a golden color. The second is: The one who makes this aspiration will not be overcome by demons and many non-Buddhists. Moreover, they will be honored in all three realms: below the earth, on the earth, and above the earth. They will quickly go to the Bodhi tree king, and having gone there, will sit under the tree to benefit sentient beings, subduing all the demons and their retinues, manifest enlightenment in the fruit of Bodhi, and show the deeds of turning the wheel of Dharma, etc. The second is: If we summarize the benefits of aspiration, any sentient being, starting with the conduct of Samantabhadra, aspires to learn various special conducts. If they hold this aspiration in mind, or explain it to others, or recite the scriptures with their mouth, then the result of that, the maturation of merit, is vast and limitless, and only the Buddha can directly know it. Other Shravakas, Pratyekabuddhas, and ordinary beings cannot know it as it is. From the power of such a collection of merit, the one who makes the aspiration will surely attain the supreme, unsurpassed Bodhi, so do not doubt it, do not hesitate. The saying "Its maturation is known by the Buddha" refers to being spoken in conjunction with knowing the attainment of Bodhi. The second has five: like the dedication of a Bodhisattva, like the dedication of a Buddha, the manifestation of the fruit, for the sake of obtaining a direct prophecy from the Buddha, and dedicating to accomplish the meaning of sentient beings after obtaining the prophecy. The first is: Accomplishing the meaning of limitless sentient beings through the two doors of wisdom and compassion, like the way the brave Manjushri bravely dedicates, etc., all dharmas.
