I do not change. The reason for the cessation of ignorance is that it is cultivated by wisdom itself. Because that and that have ceased, that and that will not appear. Only the aggregate of suffering, that is how it truly ceases. Thus, it is also said in the Four Hundred: The seed of existence is consciousness, and objects are its field of activity. If one sees that objects are without self, then the seed of existence will cease. Thus, just as the body is free in the body, ignorance dwells everywhere, therefore all afflictions are destroyed by destroying ignorance. If one sees dependent origination, then ignorance will not arise. Thus, it is also said in the Praise of Dharmadhatu: Holding onto "I" and "mine," as long as external objects are conceptualized, if one sees the two noble non-selves, then the seed of existence will cease. Thus, it is also said in the Precious Garland: As long as there is clinging to the aggregates, there is self-grasping. If there is self-grasping, then there is karma, and from that, there is birth again. The three paths are without beginning, end, or middle. The wheel of samsara is like a wheel of fire. Like a wheel, they are mutually causal, and this conditioned phenomenon becomes samsara. Since it is not obtained by either oneself or others, nor in the three times, therefore self-grasping will be exhausted, and from that, karma and birth as well. Thus, it is also said in the Praise of Dependent Origination: Whatever decline there is in the world, its root is ignorance. Whatever is seen that can avert it is said to be dependent origination. Thus, it is said in many scriptures that by realizing and cultivating non-self, one can be liberated from samsara, which is just an example. It is said that the power to liberate sentient beings from the suffering of samsara is only possessed by the Buddha. This means that the Buddha teaches the Dharma and thus liberates them from the suffering of samsara, not that the Buddha liberates them with miraculous powers. As it is said: The capable ones do not wash away sins with water, nor do they remove the suffering of beings with their hands, nor do they transfer their own realization to others, but they liberate by showing the truth of suchness. As it is said. The detailed classification of the five paths and ten bhumis, etc., as explained in the Perfection Vehicle, I have already explained in the Treatise on the Paths and Bhumis, so I will not repeat it here. With that path

Regarding the path to Buddhahood, the brothers Asanga clearly explained the classification of thirty-three countless eons. Asanga said that even a fast path requires three countless eons. This is solely the view of the Paramita Vehicle. However, the Sutra of the Ten Grounds states: "For example, when a skilled captain enters the great ocean to go to the island of jewels, he is quickly carried to the island of jewels by favorable winds. Similarly, if one wishes to attain Buddhahood after attaining the eighth ground, one can quickly traverse the path and be able to attain Buddhahood." In the Sutra of Entering the Determined and Undetermined Seals, there are five ways in which Bodhisattvas travel the path: two ways of traveling like a livestock cart and an elephant cart; one way of traveling like the movement of the moon and sun; and two Bodhisattvas who travel the path like the magical powers of Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas. Therefore, according to these five different ways of traveling the path, which are fast or slow, the view that one must accumulate the necessary merit for three countless eons to attain Buddhahood on the path of the Paramita Vehicle means that if time is fast, one must accumulate the merit equivalent to three countless eons or countless eons. If it is said that one must spend three countless eons, does that not contradict the uncommon view? This should be investigated. Regarding the method of calculating countless eons, as it is said: One, ten, hundred, thousand, ten thousand, million, hundred million, billion, trillion, all are names of single numbers. Hundred trillion, quadrillion, extremely vast, from this point until countless, all increase tenfold. As it is said, the method of increasing tenfold, starting with the great, is: ten trillion is one hundred trillion, ten hundred trillion is one great hundred trillion, ten great hundred trillion is one quadrillion, ten quadrillion is one great quadrillion, up to countless. The first countless multiplied by ten is the second, and the second multiplied by ten is the third. In the Auto-commentary of the Abhidharmakosha, ten great powers of the eye are said to be one countless. In other treatises, on top of that, adding four named immeasurable, adding the word "great," is also considered countless, so there are two ways. The second way has two aspects: quickly attaining Buddhahood.
