The second part has two points: one is to arrange the order of practice of the treatises, and the other is to explain each treatise separately. The first point: the mind that takes the person as the object and clings to the appearance as being established by its own nature is the ego-grasping of the person; the mind that takes the aggregates and other dharmas that are not persons as the object and clings to the appearance as being established by its own nature is the ego-grasping of dharmas. The non-existence of what appears to be grasped by the previous mind is the selflessness of the person; the non-existence of what appears to be grasped by the subsequent mind is the selflessness of dharmas. Therefore, negating the self that does not exist on the person is the selflessness of the person; negating it on the dharma is the selflessness of dharmas. Therefore, although the objects of negation are different, there is no difference in the "self" to be negated. Therefore, although there is no difference in subtlety and grossness between the two selflessnesses, there is a difference in that it is easy to ascertain on the person and difficult to ascertain on the dharma. The view of the perishable collection is a distinction of the ego-grasping of the person, that is, taking the "I" of one's own continuum as the object, and clinging to it as being established by its own nature, thinking "I" and "mine." Therefore, here there are two types of negation: the negation of the object and the negation of the subject. Among them, by revealing the harm of reasoning to the meaning of how those two minds grasp the object, the clinging of the subject is also negated. At that time, the existence in name of the meaning of how those subjects grasp is not negated, but what is negated is not merely established by the power of name, but the real existence, which is the same for all real existences. Although the examination of "born" or "unborn," "come" or "not come," etc., is admitted in name, it is not satisfied with just that, but it is not admitted that it can be found when seeking how the meaning of the imputation imputed by name is established, because the former is the examination of name, and the latter is the examination of meaning. For this method, it is necessary to distinguish between what cannot be tolerated by reasoning, what is harmed by reasoning, what cannot be found by reason, and what is negated by it, and it is also necessary to understand the difference between whether the mind-self and the two selflessnesses are involved or not. The summary of how the treatises explain it is: first, since it is necessary to determine that there is no object of clinging of ignorance that clings to the self and what belongs to the self, it is explained by the eighteenth chapter. If the person has no self-nature, then the world of father

To prevent the view that coming from here to there, going from there to here, and doing good and evil deeds are unreasonable, two methods are established: examining coming and going, and examining the agent. To show that the agent has no inherent existence, and to prevent the view that it cannot be the receiver, the examination of prior existence is established. To refute the example that proves the receiver has inherent existence, the tenth chapter is established. To prevent the refutation of that reason, the eleventh and twelfth chapters are established. To prevent the self of phenomena, the first step is to prevent the view that birth inherently exists. To prevent the view that the aggregates, etc., have inherent existence, as stated in the scriptures, three chapters such as the examination of the sense bases are established. Because attachment, etc., and the three phases of arising, abiding, and ceasing, and their causes, karma, and agents exist, it is thought that these have inherent existence. To prevent this view, three chapters such as the examination of attachment are established. To prove that persons and phenomena have inherent existence, some say that the aggregation of phenomena, the causes and conditions of production, the receiver, and the cycle from one to another exist. To prevent this view, three chapters are established: the examination of aggregation, inherent existence, and bondage and liberation. To prevent the argument that cyclic existence has inherent existence, i.e., that it is the basis of the relationship of karma and its result, the examination of karma and its result is established. To prevent the argument that things have inherent existence, i.e., that they are the cause of establishing the three times, the examination of time is established. To prevent the argument that time has inherent existence, i.e., that it is the auxiliary condition of the result and the cause of arising and ceasing, two chapters are established: the examination of aggregation and the examination of arising and ceasing. When showing that the continuum of existence has no inherent existence, some doubt that it is unreasonable for the continuum to have the Tathagata and afflictions. To eliminate this doubt, two chapters are established: the examination of the Tathagata and the examination of the reversed. Regarding emptiness of inherent existence, some think that the Four Noble Truths, etc., are unreasonable. To eliminate this view, the examination of the Truths is established. Regarding this, some think that Nirvana is unreasonable. To prevent this view, the examination of Nirvana is established. It is said that seeing dependent arising is seeing the Middle Way. To explain this meaning, the examination of dependent origination is established. To explain that if one realizes the suchness of dependent arising, all wrong views will be reversed, the examination of views is established. All of these are for the purpose of generating, stabilizing, and increasing the path of liberation in one's own continuum, and not merely for the sake of arguing with others. As it is said in the *Entering the Middle Way*: 'Treatises are not made out of attachment to debate, but to show the truth for the sake of liberation.' Thus it is said. The second part has three chapters.
