In short, the sutras and tantras say that not meditating on anything is meditating on reality. And it is also said that the merits or praises of such are immeasurable. Such intention does not refer to the meditation of stopping attention, but refers to the fact that all dualistic appearances of grasping and being grasped are purified, that is, disappear, thereby realizing the non-conceptual ultimate truth, and directly realizing the samadhi wisdom of such noble ones, just like water entering water, the state of samadhi that is inseparable. Because, although ordinary beings realize the non-conceptual ultimate truth in a general way, there is absolutely no agreement between the ultimate truth and the wisdom, which become one like water entering water. Because ordinary beings are inverted with respect to reality, and the reality of merely stopping conceptual thoughts cannot be taken as an object, and the non-conceptual consciousness of ordinary beings cannot take reality as an object. If it appears, it must appear as appearance, so it will become a noble one. There is no ordinary being who directly realizes reality. As Maitreya Bodhisattva said in the Ratnagotravibhāga: Because one is like a blind person to form, a child has never seen it before. Therefore, although there are two kinds of non-conceptual ultimate truth, here it refers to the real ultimate truth. The conceptual ultimate truth is like the emptiness of true nature and illusion of the object, and the subject is like the inference of realizing non-pleasure. Because of the reasons mentioned above, the direct non-conceptual consciousness of ordinary beings cannot practice the non-conceptual ultimate truth. Therefore, the saying that practicing the non-conceptual ultimate truth with non-conceptual direct perception refers to the noble ones. As a method to enter such practice, from now on, take dependent origination as no self-nature and emptiness of true nature as reality, cling to it in a general way, and enter through analytical meditation, thereby obtaining the non-conceptual ultimate truth and the non-conceptual wisdom of the noble ones that become one like water entering water, as Master Tsongkhapa said. Therefore, not only is it stopping meditation, but also determining reality with views is conceptual.

If we were to visualize as if directly seeing the ultimate truth, the Sutras say: In emptiness, there is no form, no feeling, etc. The Compendium says: All forms are invisible, and all feelings are also invisible, etc. When conditioned and unconditioned phenomena, as well as black and white dharmas, are completely destroyed by wisdom, and even a particle cannot be found, etc. The Protector (Nagarjuna) said: The cessation of proliferation is the teaching of peace. Shantideva said: When things and non-things do not exist before the mind, then there is no thing, no support, and complete peace due to the absence of focus. As it is said, in such a visualization, all the proliferations of dualistic appearance are pacified, and as dualistic appearance vanishes, who speaks, who listens, and who understands? For example, the trace of a bird flying in the sky cannot be accurately described even by an elder who is proficient in worldly language. As it is said in the Sutra of the Ten Bhumis: Just as the trace of a bird in the sky cannot be spoken of or seen by the wise, similarly, all the bhumis of the sons of the Victorious One cannot be spoken of, let alone heard. As it is said, the Prajnaparamita is unspeakable, unthinkable, and inexpressible. The meaning of what is said refers to such a situation. In general, the ultimate truth can be expressed and thought about. Another example is that a person who has tasted the flavor of sugarcane cannot describe to others exactly how he tasted it, nor can others understand it as he tasted it. Similarly, a person who has directly seen the ultimate truth cannot show others the state of non-proliferation where dualistic appearance has vanished, as he himself has seen it, because speaking and listening necessarily involve proliferation. However, when seeking a view, one must use conceptual thought to find a basis for the view. If this search is not done, how can the view be accurately determined? It is impossible. By this example, there are countless other things that need to be explained. For this reason, for the great saints of the Prasangika school, when they are single-pointedly absorbed in emptiness, all conventional designations or commitments are dissolved during meditative equipoise, so in their view, there is no difference between meditative equipoise and post-meditation. When they arise from meditative equipoise, in their subsequent attainment, the image or appearance of conventional dependent origination, like an illusion, appears undeniably. Ordinary beings should
