being the cause of, and the steadfastness of properly taking vows is the cause of the feet resting like a tortoise, and relying on the four means of gathering is the cause of the fingers being connected by webs, and giving precious things to others is the cause of having tender flesh on the hands and feet, etc., and liberating from being killed is the cause of being vast and upright, and virtuous dharmas are from properly taking and increasing, etc. Not having anger is because there are three intervals between the nature and self-nature of the cause that accomplishes the marks of a cowherd girl. A person who possesses clear and complete marks is not pervaded by the Akanistha body, because the supreme emanation body also has it. A person who possesses marks is not even pervaded by the Buddha, because the wheel-turning king and the bodhisattva who are constant have it. The first is like that, as it is said in the Ratnavali: "All wheel-turning kings have these marks, but purity and beauty, and brightness, are not even one-sixteenth." Because it is said like that. The second is any one, because the marks of the constant one are the real cause of the marks of the Akanistha body. The second is the minor marks, that is, from "The nails of the Able One are the color of copper," to "The Buddha considers the minor marks to be beautiful." As it will be explained, these eighty dharmas are considered by the Buddha to be beautiful minor marks, that is, the nails of the Able One are like the color of copper, and its color is oily, and it is high, and the nails are all round, and it is vast, and it is slender, and the veins of the body are not visible, and it has no knots, and the pores are not visible, and the length of the feet is equal, these are ten. Like a lion's, like an elephant's, like a swan's, like a king of cattle's gait, and walking to the right, and walking beautifully, and upright, the body is wrapped like being smeared with perfume, like being wiped, and the thickness and thinness are successively appropriate, these are ten. The body is pure, soft, the body is clean, the marks are completely perfect in parts, the extent of the body is vast, the limbs are wide and beautiful, the steps are equal without being large or small, and the two eyes are pure without redness, etc.
