If one enters, there is a way to establish oneself as having entered the path that pleases the Buddhas: seeing that the cause and effect of what is to be obtained, what obtains, what is produced, and what produces, of all phenomena of samsara and nirvana, never deceive; and when seeking the meaning of what is designated by the valid reasoning that examines ultimate truth, realizing that there is no reliance on an object as grasped by innate clinging to true existence, then that person should be established as having entered the path that pleases the Buddhas, as it is also said: Whoever sees that the cause and effect of all phenomena of samsara and nirvana never deceive, and all reliance on objects has vanished, that one has entered the path that pleases the Buddhas. The third point is: it is not appropriate to hold that appearance as dependent arising and emptiness as its lack of inherent existence are two different entities, because the appearances of conventional dependent arising, such as external sprouts and internal happiness and suffering, arise without any confusion, relying on their respective causes and conditions and the conceptual thought that designates them, and one has a deep conviction in their non-deceptive nature; and when seeking what the meaning of these designations is, one is certain that they are empty, without even a particle of anything to be found. Although it is not necessary to accept that appearance and emptiness are truly established as different entities, or that they are established as able to withstand rational scrutiny, if one does not understand it in this way and thinks that the two are contradictory, unable to be gathered together on one basis, then until that time, it cannot be established that one has well understood the intention of the Able One, as it is also said: Appearance as non-deceptive dependent arising, and the understanding of emptiness as being free from assertions, as long as the two appear separately, until that time, one has not understood the intention of the Able One. Such appearance and emptiness are of one entity, because all actions can be validly established when phenomena are empty of inherent existence, because whatever is dependent arising is empty of inherent existence, and phenomena that are empty of inherent existence arise dependently, as it is said in the Root Wisdom: Because emptiness is possible, everything is possible. And, Whatever is dependently arisen, that is said to be emptiness, that is dependently designated, that itself is the Middle Way. Because there is no phenomenon that is not dependently arisen

Therefore, there are no phenomena that are not empty. It is said so. There are examples of how appearance and emptiness are not contradictory on the same basis and can be established as one entity. For example, the image in a mirror, where the appearance and emptiness are not contradictory as one entity. Fourth, if asked when it is attained, according to the system of the Prasangikas, after the completion of the unique view's analysis, one can definitely attain the Victorious One's intention. When analyzing with correct reasoning, at what time does the function of the cause relying on the effect arise without fail appearing in the mind, and from the two, emptiness without even a speck of inherent existence, if one can establish one, it is not easy to establish the other, like not needing to establish alternately. From merely seeing the meaning of the unfailing dependent arising of the cause arising from the effect, by that action, from the depths of one's heart, one is certain that the object of attachment as grasped by the clinging to truth does not exist, and when an understanding arises in the mind without discomfort, then it is reasonable to consider that view to have completed the analysis of hearing and thinking, and to have attained the intention of the Subduer. As it is said: When, without alternation, simultaneously, from merely seeing the unfailing dependent arising, if all grasping of the object of cognition is destroyed, then at that time the analysis of the view is completed. So it is. It is very difficult to attain in this way. In the "Smaller Stages of the Path," it is said: The difficulty lies in completely negating the inherent existence established by its own nature, and in establishing the person without inherent existence, etc., as the agent and the experiencer of the result, with deep certainty. Because the combination of the two that can be established in them has reached the extreme of existence, it is difficult to attain the view of the Middle Way. So it is said. It is very wonderful to attain in this way. In the "Commentary on the Awakening Mind," it is said: Knowing that all phenomena are empty, whatever one cultivates karma and its result, this is more wonderful than wonderful, this is more amazing than amazing. So it is said. Fifth, furthermore, there is a special characteristic of the Prasangika view. In general, appearance eliminates the extreme of existence, and emptiness eliminates the extreme of non-existence. But here, conversely, if appearance is understood as the meaning of dependent arising, then it is merely nominal.
