The feeling of cutting off and experiencing the three feelings of pleasure, pain, and indifference is the seventh limb, feeling. Then, clinging to not being separated from pleasure and wanting to be separated from suffering is the eighth limb, craving. Attachment to desirable qualities, wrong views, discipline, and bad behavior is the ninth limb, grasping. The consciousness at the time of the previous cause, the second being the habit of action, the karma that becomes powerful by being nourished by craving and grasping is the tenth limb, existence. By its power, the consciousness connecting the continuum in any of the four types of birth is the eleventh limb, birth. The aggregates maturing and changing is aging, and the abandonment of the similar aggregates is death, which is the twelfth limb, aging and death. In the course of one dependent origination, although craving, grasping, and existence arise before name and form, here it is explained after feeling in order to explain the order of arising of other dependent origination. So, by what is it drawn? It is drawn by the action instigated by ignorance. What is drawn? The twenty-four limbs of name and form, the six sense sources, contact, and feeling. How is it drawn? In the manner of imprinting the habit of karma on consciousness. By what is it accomplished? It is accomplished by craving, grasping, and existence. What is accomplished? Birth and aging and death. These are just brief explanations, and for details, one should look elsewhere. Secondly, regarding the aspects of purification, although fifty-five are mentioned according to the divisions of categories, if the individual categories are separated, there are one hundred and forty-six, namely, the six perfections, the eighteen emptinesses, the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, the four truths, the four dhyanas, the four immeasurables, the four formless absorptions, the eight liberations, the nine successive abidings, the three doors of liberation, the superknowledges, samadhi, the doors of dharani, the ten powers, the four fearlessnesses, the four analytical understandings, great love, great compassion, the eighteen unshared qualities, the stream-enterer, the once-returner, the non-returner, the arhat, the four solitary realizers, the knowledge of all aspects, the knowledge of the aspects of the path, and the knowledge of all aspects, which will be explained in order. First, regarding the six perfections, there is the basis of classification and the classification. The first is, the Mahayana included by whatever leads to or has already reached the state of Buddhahood.

So be it. According to the commentary on the "Entering Course," these six are the objects of grasping as before. As stated in the "Stages of the Path," when these practices are fully accomplished, their respective perfections transform, which is not contradictory. Second, explaining the eighteen emptinesses, there are two parts: the essence and the divisions. First, the essence is: the suchness that is completely distinguished by merely negating the truly established object to be negated, which is the meaning of emptiness, and also its definition. The divisions are eighteen, from emptiness of the interior to emptiness of the essence of non-things. That is, from the inner eye to the mind, the six sense bases are empty of truth and emptiness. External forms, etc., are empty of truth, external emptiness. The support of the senses, such as the body, is included in the consciousness aggregate but not included by the senses, so it is empty of truth, emptiness of both internal and external. Emptiness is empty of truth, emptiness of emptiness. The ten directions are empty of truth, great emptiness. Nirvana is empty of truth, ultimate emptiness. The three realms and other conditioned phenomena are empty of truth, conditioned emptiness. Space and other unconditioned phenomena are empty of truth, unconditioned emptiness. The middle way, which is free from the extremes of permanence and annihilation, is empty of truth, emptiness beyond extremes. Samsara is empty of truth, emptiness without beginning or end. The Great Vehicle, which cannot be abandoned, is empty of truth, emptiness of non-abandonment. Suchness is empty of truth, emptiness of self-nature. All phenomena, such as the eighteen realms, are empty of truth, emptiness of all phenomena. Form is the characteristic of being changeable, feeling is the characteristic of experiencing, etc., common and uncommon characteristics are empty of truth, emptiness of self-characteristic. The three times, past, etc., are empty of truth, emptiness of non-apprehension. The aggregation of causes and conditions is empty of truth, emptiness of the essence of non-things, these are sixteen. These sixteen are repeatedly spoken of in the "Mother Sutra" and are also explained as twenty. As it says in the sutra: 'Subhuti, furthermore, the existent is empty of the existent. The non-existent is empty of the non-existent. Self-nature is empty of self-nature. Other-nature is empty of other-nature.' This is how it is explained. That is, the five aggregates are empty of truth, emptiness of the existent. Space and Nirvana.
