These should be made the objects of aspiration. Third, the mind that is not overwhelmed by harm and suffering, etc., and whose faith in the Dharma is extremely firm, is the essence of patience. It includes not minding harm, accepting suffering, and having faith in the Dharma. First, it is patience towards those who inflict harm, because there are many faults in being angry without patience. In general, one should not be angry with any object, especially with Dharma friends and those who practice celibacy, and being angry with Bodhisattvas destroys many virtues, etc., so the faults are very great, and anger should be avoided. In this regard, one should target a person who is currently causing harm and think about who is causing him to harm me. At that time, recognizing that doing so is under the control of disturbing emotions, one should avoid anger. Furthermore, direct harm is caused by a stick, and indirect harm is caused by hatred. Whether direct or indirect, one should not be angry with the person. If one is angry with the root cause, it is because it is the result of one's own past harm to others, so one should be angry with one's own past karma. One should not be angry with that person himself. If one thinks that one cannot bear the evil words spoken by others, then one should think, if one cannot bear even this, how can one bear the suffering of hell? Accepting suffering means that if suffering can be remedied, there is no need to be unhappy, and if it cannot be remedied, then even if one is unhappy, it will not help, but only cause harm. Furthermore, if there is suffering, it will encourage the mind to be liberated, eliminate arrogance, fear sin, be happy to do good, and generate compassion for others, so one should think that this suffering is like a virtuous friend and is a welcome place. With this suffering, one can pay off the results of one's past evil deeds, and through experiencing the thought of accepting suffering or the suffering of other sentient beings and its causes, many virtues such as guidance arise. Firm conviction in the Dharma refers to listening, contemplating, and meditating on the Three Jewels, the results of karma, the two selflessnesses, etc., and the meaning of the scriptures without sectarianism. Fourth, rejoicing in accumulating virtue and benefiting sentient beings is the essence of diligence. It includes armor-like diligence, accumulating virtuous Dharma,
