All things are without inherent existence, but are like illusions merely imputed by conceptual thought. Oṃ svabhāva śuddhaḥ sarva dharmāḥ svabhāva śuddho'ham. (Tibetan: ༀ་སྭ་བྷཱ་ཝ་ཤུདྡྷ་སརྦ་དྷརྨཱ་སྭ་བྷཱ་ཝ་ཤུདྡྷོ྅ཧཾ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: ॐ स्वभाव शुद्ध सर्व धर्माः स्वभाव शुद्धोऽहम्, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ svabhāva śuddhaḥ sarva dharmāḥ svabhāva śuddho'ham, Literal Chinese meaning: Om, pure in nature, all dharmas, pure in nature am I.) The light rays of the Hūṃ at the heart purify all that is stable and moving, transforming into light that dissolves into oneself, and oneself also gradually dissolves from top to bottom into the Hūṃ at the heart. The Ā (Tibetan: ཨཱུ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: ऊ, Sanskrit Romanization: ū, Literal Chinese meaning: oo) of the Hūṃ dissolves into the body of Ha (Tibetan: ཧ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ह, Sanskrit Romanization: ha, Literal Chinese meaning: ha), the Ha into the head, the head into the crescent moon, the crescent moon into the bindu, the bindu into the nāda, and the nāda also dissolves into clear light. Oṃ śūnyatā jñāna vajra svabhāva ātma ko'ham. (Tibetan: ༀ་ཤུ་ནྱ་ཏ་ཛྙཱ་ན་བཛྲ་སྭ་བྷཱ་ཝ་ཨ ཏྨ་ཀོ྅ཧཾ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: ॐ शून्यता ज्ञान वज्र स्वभाव आत्माकोऽहम्, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ śūnyatā jñāna vajra svabhāva ātma ko'ham, Literal Chinese meaning: Om, emptiness, wisdom, vajra, nature, who am I of self.) All dharmas are without abiding, transformed into the clear light of the stainless sky. This is the yoga of carrying death into the dharmakāya, practicing in accordance with the Dharma by taking the clear light of death as a precursor at the end of accumulating karma. Thus, from the emptiness in which all appearances are gathered, one's own mind transforms into the form of a nāda, standing upright, extremely subtle, with a white and red luster, abiding in the sky. This is practicing in accordance with the Dharma, accomplishing the bardo from the clear light of death, taking the sambhogakāya as the path. Next is the protection wheel: Oṃ sumbhani sumbha hūṃ hūṃ phaṭ. In the east, the mantra itself is black. Oṃ gṛṇha gṛṇha hūṃ hūṃ phaṭ. In the north, the mantra itself is green. Oṃ gṛṇha pāya gṛṇha pāya hūṃ hūṃ phaṭ. In the west, the mantra itself is red. Oṃ ānaya hoḥ bhagavānā vi dyā rājā hūṃ hūṃ phaṭ. In the south, the mantra itself is yellow, all abiding there. From these mantras, rays of light of their respective colors radiate, filling the great forms blazing with light from the world of Brahmā down to the golden ground. From the mantras and light rays that have been completely transformed, the east is black, the north is green, the west is red, and the south is yellow, forming a square enclosure of various vajras, extending from the world of Brahmā down to the golden ground. Simultaneously with the completion of the enclosure, from the Hūṃ, at the center of various vajras, the light rays of the Hūṃ marked with the Hūṃ, down to the golden ground, the ground below transforms into the nature of various vajras. From the light rays of the Hūṃ of various vajras, outwards, upwards, and in all directions, a net of arrows in the form of five-pronged vajras is filled. Below that is a vajra tent. Below the tent, on top of the enclosure, is a stone.

The gurus' life force becomes a single, uninterrupted piece, surrounded by a vajra fire like the fire of the end of time. Om Medi Ni Vajri Bhava Vajra Bandha Hum. Om Jra Pra Kara Hum Pam Hum. Om Vajra Banjara Hum Pam Hum. Om Vajra Vitana Hum Kham Hum. Om Vajra Sara Jwala Tram Sam Tram. Om Vajra Jwala Anala Arka Hum Hum Hum. Reciting the four mantras, starting with Sumbhani, as before. May all beings in every way be free from obstacles. In the center of the protection circle, from the blue Yam arises a blue wind mandala, shaped like a bow, marked with victory banners on both the right and left sides. Above that, from the red Ram arises a red fire mandala, triangular, marked with Ram on the three corners. Above that, from the white Bam arises a white water mandala, circular, marked with vases. Above that, from the yellow Lam arises a yellow earth mandala, square, marked with three-pronged vajras on the four corners. Above that, from Sum arises Mount Meru, a square mountain, with the nature of four precious jewels. The upper directions are adorned with eight peaks. Above that, from the yellow Pam arises various lotuses. In its center, from Hum arises various vajras. In its center, from Pam arises various eight-petaled lotuses equal in size to the center, possessing a lotus heart and stamens. The petals in the four directions are red. Fire and wind are yellow. Truthlessness is green. Power is black. The lotus heart is green. The stamens are yellow. In the center of the various small lotuses is the nature of the thirty-two marks. Om Ah A I I. To. Am Ah, that is, the sixteen white vowels, one wheel turning to the right. Again, A A. To Am Ah, that is, the sixteen white vowels, one wheel turning to the left, arranged in order. Outside of that is the nature of the eighty minor marks. Ka Kha Ga Gha Nga. Tsa Tsha Dza Jnya Nya. Ta Tha Da Dha Na. Ta Tha Da Dha Na. Pa Pha Ba Bha Ma. Ya Ya Ra La La Wa.
