Homage to the supreme of all, the Great Seal. As said by the hero Sarahas, "The various appearances of this Mudra are a great spectacle." And as said by Lord Tailopa, "May this essential instruction of the Great Seal reside in the hearts of fortunate beings." The meaning of these words is: the manifestation of the Alaya-jnana, the self-appearance of the Great Seal, the self-nature of the Mahayana, the experience of the Great Madhyamaka, the miraculous display of the Tathagatagarbha, the waves of profound Other-Emptiness, the play of the Clear Light Dharmakaya, the Samadhi called Profound Appearance of the Prajnaparamita. Therefore, all the great sound of the Great Seal, the great expanse of the Great Seal, and the great pervasiveness of the Great Seal should be recognized as the ultimate mind. That itself is recognized as Mahayana. Third, that itself is recognized as Mahayana. As the teacher Iginen (དབྱི་གཉེན།) said in "Destroying Harm," "The six Paramitas and so on, which are included in the Dharmakaya that has become the nature of complete maturation of the Dharmas such as the Paramitas, are shown to be the Mahayana itself." The meaning of this is: Alaya-jnana, the Great Seal, the Great Madhyamaka, the Mahayana, the profound Prajnaparamita, the Tathagatagarbha, that itself is the union of binding actions. When the limbs are practiced vigorously, what manifests is the nature of the Mahayana, the aggregate of the undefiled Dharmakaya, which is all the Paramitas, all the doors of Dharani, all the Samadhis, the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, the ten powers, the four fearlessnesses, the four analytical knowledges, the eighteen unshared Dharmas of the Buddha, and all the pure Dharmas such as the marks and signs are the Mahayana. Thus, this son of the Mahayana, by overpowering the world, attains omniscience. As it is said in the Hundred Thousand Verses and the Twenty Thousand Verses, etc., "This Mahayana will surely overpower the world including gods, humans, and asuras, therefore it is called Mahayana. This Mahayana is like the sky, this Mahayana opens the door to countless beings, this Mahayana has no coming, going, or abiding,

It is excellent that in this Mahayana, the limits and middle of the past and future are not perceived! As it says in the Compendium: 'Why is this called the Bodhi Mahayana? Because it causes all beings to cease their sorrows. This vehicle is like the sky, an immeasurable great mansion, the supreme vehicle that manifestly obtains joy, happiness, and bliss.' Similarly, in the Ornament of the Sutras, it says: 'Because of its great object, and likewise because of accomplishing two benefits, wisdom, diligence, and initiation, and also because of truly accomplishing greatness, and the great activity of the Buddhas, because it possesses seven greatnesses, it is manifestly called the Mahayana.' The meaning of this is that focusing on all dharmas is a great object, accomplishing the two benefits is great accomplishment, realizing the selflessness of all dharmas is great wisdom, initiating diligence in three countless eons is great diligence, although taking rebirth out of aspiration, not being stained by the faults of existence is great skillful means, perfectly accomplishing the ten powers and so forth is great accomplishment, the twelve deeds are the great activity of the Buddhas, the seventh is the reason for being inseparably possessed like water and moisture, therefore it is the Mahayana. The hero Saraha said: 'Whatever inconceivable self-born wisdom is meditated upon, that is what meditates upon all the fruits without exception. This path of the supreme essence of the Mahayana, because it takes the fruit as the path, from the beginning abides in the fruit.' Likewise, that very Mahayana possessing seven qualities, in the Six Dharmas of Niguma, it also says: 'What is inexpressible, spontaneously accomplished, uncompounded, the Sambhogakaya of union and great bliss appearing to whomever it tames, the great Vajradhara possessing the three kayas and seven qualities, spoke this unborn self-sound of the Mahayana.' The meaning of all that has been said is the manifestation of the wisdom of the alaya, the self-appearance of the Great Seal, the great enlightenment of the Mahayana, the experience of Madhyamaka Madhyamaka, the transformation of the Tathagatagarbha, the swaying with the profound emptiness of other, the play of the clear light Dharmakaya, the samadhi called the profound appearance of the Prajnaparamita, is the self-nature of the Mahayana, the great expanse of the Mahayana, the great pervasiveness of the Mahayana, all should be recognized as the heart of the meaning. That very thing.
