There appeared those known as Six and Four Pillars, and they maintained the two seats, upper and lower, of the actual Barompa. This is a brief account of the religious and political history of the Six Districts of Trikor. Next, there are two parts to the detailed explanation of the history of Gomde Tsangsarpa: how the teachings were upheld and the religious and political affairs flourished at the root seat of Kumbum Monastery; and how the religious and political affairs came about after moving to Kharpo Che in Dranang. First, Jela, the brother of Jampa Shyönnu, a descendant of Lumey Dorje, established the estate of Ke Nyikhar Karser in the heart of Sangye Pel. His religious, political, and worldly power was extraordinary. He had four sons, the eldest of whom, Wön Drakpa Jangchup, was ordained by Jangchup Shyönnu, listened to all the instructions, and ascended the throne of Tsangmang Sarwa at Kumbum Monastery, holding the victory banner of the teachings. After him, Geshe Drakpa Tsultrim also resided at Kumbum. After him, Namme and Arin became the lords of Dzong Karser, governing their subjects with love. Of Namme's four sons, Tsondu Gyaltsen was ordained by Chennga Drakzang, listened to the sutra and tantra teachings, and became the throne holder of Kumbum Monastery. Geshe Yönten Lodrö resided at Kumbum. Abum and Arin both expanded their activities in the heartland. Arin had two sons, the elder of whom, Tashi Gyaltsen, was ordained by Tsondu Gyaltsen, mastered the instructions of his forefathers, and became the seat holder of Tsangsarpa. His son Lama Kyap held the political power of the heartland. Of Lama Kyap's three sons, Sönam Rinchen and Sönam Gyaltsen, two brothers, were ordained by Tashi Gyaltsen, and listened to the Dharma and instructions like pouring from a full vase. Both became the seat holders of Tsangsarpa. Chökyi Drakpa expanded the virtuous deeds of governance. Of Chö Drak's two sons, Sönam Lodrö was ordained by Sönam Rinchen, requested all the Dharma and profound instructions of the Barom lineage, and became the throne holder of Tsangsarpa. His younger brother Sönam governed the political affairs and subjects in the heartland. When these two brothers, Gyalwang Karmapa Dezhin Shekpa, returned from China, at Kumbum Monastery

Uncountable offering clouds of objects were invited. They were matured by Dharma and instructions. Among the four sons of Sonam, there were Sonam Zangpo, two Sonam Rinpoches, and Sonam Lodro, who all became monks. They mastered the ocean-like teachings of Sutra and Tantra. When the Karmapa Tathagata of their ancestors was invited to Kumbum Monastery, Sonam Zangpo was granted the position of Ganden Goshi, a large golden seal, a far-reaching white conch shell, a robe covering the entire sky, and a large donation of objects such as copper Tashi Khadro. Both uncle and nephew became successors to the profound instructions. The activities of the monastery flourished and were unparalleled. Sonam's third son, Lhapa Thar, married Kyungmo and had three sons. The fourth son, A-bum, married Sersa and had three sons. There was also another son named Dochangpa. At that time, there was a dispute about "two mothers and six sons," so Lhapa's descendants moved to Kumbum Monastery and gradually became the new Tsangpa who lived in Radzin. A-bum's son, Nangpa Dochangpa, had the miraculous ability to hold stones like food from a young age. Sersa's two sons, Chennga Chokyong Palden, were taken in by Karmapa Chodrak Gyatso and received instructions. Gosri Sonam Zangpo became a monk. He listened to and contemplated all the Dharma cycles of the Barompa. Chokyong Palden was granted the position of Gosri. Sersa's sons, Azhal or Sonam Tobden, and Nyere or Tashi Gyatso, established a settlement in Nyingthang with Kar Non. As stated in the terma prophecy of Terton Ratna Lingpa: "In Kham's Chijam, at the long life of Choying Dorje, Terton Mingyur Dorje will appear and extract the treasures of that sacred place. He will control a hundred treasures of Kham. On the right side of that sacred place, it is like offering a great mandala. In the center, Mount Meru is like a white conch shell coiled to the right. It is like a pile of Indian vultures. Padmasambhava said: 'This is my sacred place.' My countless emanations will never cease in that sacred place. A man named Dorje will appear and uphold Dharma and law. Furthermore, countless emanations will appear."
