When the depths of the consort's lotus palace are offered, and unbearable bliss arises in the consort, keep your own body straight without bending. Guide with the three: the mind's focus, the body's posture, and the speech's expression. That is, from within the consort's channels, from the impurities like dregs, the essence like wine, visualize it rising like a thread without interruption from your own vajra secret path, the essence flowing smoothly to the wheel of great bliss at the crown of the head. In speech, recite the HUM (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese Meaning: HUM) strongly and continuously. The body strongly draws in the lower wind, and the eyes look upwards. The two big toes of the feet are aligned and bent inwards. The middle and ring fingers are pressed tightly together, and the heels are pressed tightly against the spine. The tongue is curled to the palate, and with the mind thinking of HUM (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese Meaning: HUM), express it in speech and inhale. The consort becomes unconscious, walks roughly like a drunkard, or involuntarily makes sounds; these are signs of melting. Then slowly stop, and shake the four limbs and the entire body visualized as the deity. In this way, the yogi may experience dizziness or heat, numbness, or trembling. If the essence is fully attained, the body will become hot. Medium will make the body feel comfortable. Even the worst will cause the mind to abide in bliss and emptiness. The radiance of the mudra fades. One's self becomes as red as red coral. Nourish the consort's body. From the great bliss of the lower gate, the key is to visualize bliss increasing more and more. During absorption, do not let the focus wander. Place the mudra on the pleasing lotus. The key to quickly generating bliss is the channels and winds. At the time of absorption, tighten the channels and the four fish of the four limbs, and close the lower gate. Inhale the lower wind, and tighten the vajra from the depths. The key to the measure of bliss reaching its peak is the posture. If the movement becomes too violent, stop immediately, and move slowly. As slight bliss arises in body and mind, the antidote is to stop the movement, and in the state of bliss and clarity, rest in the uncorrected natural state. Or, if bliss disappears, move slowly. If slight bliss arises, suppress it with the antidote. Do not let bliss become excessive; this is the key to the antidote. First, from the time of absorption, in any case, use the strong armor of antidote. If the bindu is released, think "Naraka" (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Literal Chinese Meaning), cherish the thought, and continuously apply the antidote. The key to bliss transforming into wisdom is realization, subtle awareness.

When afflictions arise during sleep, through the practice of absorption in the hidden state, if manifest afflictions suddenly arise, in the state where the grasper and the grasped are without inherent existence, in the state of appearance-emptiness, devoid of reality, clarity-emptiness, devoid of grasping, (therefore, even when desire arises, it is the state of wisdom,) relax and abide in the state of bliss-emptiness inseparable. Then, in the wisdom state where desirable qualities arise, combining the high and low experiences of realization, the key to the four joys, when the inferior practice gives rise to joy, control and contemplate the state of joy and practice. When the intermediate practice gives rise to supreme joy, control and contemplate the state of bliss and joy. When the superior practice gives rise to coemergent joy, gather and contemplate the state of joy and practice. The key to the signs of the arising of joy and bliss when the bodhicitta trembles, when the yogi's power increases and the consort possesses excellent marks, when flesh bodies touch each other, the vajra rises. When the bodhicitta trembles and clear bliss arises distinctly, when the yogi has intermediate power and the consort has intermediate marks, when the vajra touches the lotus, it rises and stands erect. The body trembles, the hairs stand on end, and the bindu of bliss arises. At that time, abide in the state of cutting off at the root. When the yogi's channels are weak and his own body is short-lived, do not enter the state of passing beyond that. At that time, abide in the state of controlling, reversing, and scattering. The intermediate practice is greater than that, when the vajra sinks into the lotus and moves, the sign that the consort cannot bear it and desire arises, the lotus becomes moist, the breath becomes coarse, the channels and the whole body become numb, and itching, joy, and bliss arise. At that time, abide in the state of control. The superior practice is greater than that, when the two, method and wisdom, move each other, the contaminated bliss arises with great agitation. At that time, mix the two, bliss and emptiness, and abide naturally in the state of bliss-emptiness, primordial purity. Cutting off the thoughts of the three times, the inexpressible experience, the experience beyond mind, free from bliss, arises. That is the coemergent wisdom. Even if you abide in that state for a long time, do not exceed it. If you exceed it, it will decline, so hold the antidote and gather it. Directly in front of the three, superior, intermediate, and inferior practices, do not exceed those three joys. Abide in that state for as long as is appropriate. When the bliss fades and becomes small, move again to increase the bliss. When clear bliss arises, control and gather it. That is also lowering, gathering, also reversing, also scattering, the bliss of gathering.
