Holding the burning kindling between joined palms, simultaneously recite Kīlaya (कीलय, kīlaya, peg), accompanied by burning cloves. Recite 'Om Agni Ram Jwala Ram' (ओम् अग्नि रं ज्वल रं, oṃ agni raṃ jvala raṃ, Om, Fire, Burn, Flame, Burn), and add a little dry grass. Pour in with the root mantra, fan the flames with three spoons, and gently fan with a fan. Observe the color of the flames, and if it is bad, take measures to extinguish it. Clean the stove as before. From emptiness, from 'Pam' (प, paṃ, lotus) arises a lotus, and from 'Ram' (रं, raṃ, fire) arises a sun disc, and upon the sun disc, from 'Hum' (हुं, hūṃ, seed syllable) arises a peaceful, round, white stove, one cubit wide and one cubit high. At the opening, both the inner and outer edges are four fingers wide, surrounded by a vajra chain. The four corners of the outer perimeter are adorned with crescent vajras, clear and unobstructed, and in the center of the burning flames, from 'Pam' (प, paṃ, lotus) arises a lotus, and from 'Ram' (रं, raṃ, fire) arises a sun disc, and upon the sun disc, from the white 'Ram' (रं, raṃ, fire) arises a rosary, filled with 'Ram' (रं, raṃ, fire). From it emanates light, converging into one, transforming into the fire god, with a white body, riding a goat, one face and two arms, the right hand holding an ambrosia vase, the left hand forming the gesture of granting refuge, holding a rosary, with a large belly, hair tied in a topknot, with a beard and a Brahmin thread, emitting immeasurable white light from his body, surrounded by a host of sages. On his forehead is 'Om' (ओम्, oṃ, sound of the universe), on his throat is 'Ah' (आः, āḥ, opening sound), and in his heart is 'Hum' (हुं, hūṃ, seed syllable). From it emanates light, from the fire boundary of Mount Meru, the fire god is surrounded by a host of sages, 'Vajra Samaja' (वज्र समाज, vajra samāja, Vajra Assembly). Form the vajra gathering mudra, and fan from the ears with the third mudra, reciting: 'Hum, with faith and vows, come forth, come forth, great origin. Fire god, great Brahmin sage, to receive the burnt offerings and food, please be seated on the burning seat. Alala, please rejoice! Ehy ehi bhagavan mahā karuṇika triśya hoḥ samaya stam (come, come, blessed one, great compassionate one, observer, hūṃ, samaya, be firm). Agni Jah Jah Hum Bam Hoh (अग्नि जः जः हुं बं होः, agni jaḥ jaḥ huṃ baṃ hoḥ, Fire, Jah Jah Hum Bam Hoh). Agni Deva Shri Hum Ja (अग्नि देव श्री हुं ज, agni deva śrī huṃ ja, Fire God Shri Hum Ja). Jah Hum Bam Hoh Samaya Stam (जः हुं बं होः समय स्तं, jaḥ huṃ baṃ hoḥ samaya staṃ, Jah Hum Bam Hoh Samaya Stam)'. Thus invite and offer the seat. 'Hum, King of the Fire God, great sage, for the sake of peace, remember the vows. Possessing great splendor and compassion, we respectfully bow to you. Om Agnaye Deva Sati Pu Pratitsa Hoh (ओम् अग्नये देव सति पु प्रतित्स होः, oṃ agnaye deva sati pu pratitsa hoḥ, Om, Fire God, Truth, Pu, Accept, Hoh)'. Thus prostrate. 'Hum, to the sage fire god with his retinue, offer the offerings, merit water, foot washing water, flowers, incense, lamps, perfume, food, and music. Offer for the sake of peaceful activities. Om Agnaye Deva Raja Argham Puja Hum Om Padyam Puja Hum (ओम् अग्नये देव राज अर्घं पुज हुं ओम् पाद्यं पुज हुं, oṃ agnaye deva rāja arghaṃ puja huṃ oṃ pādyaṃ puja huṃ, Om, Fire God, King, Offering, Puja, Hum, Om, Foot Washing Water, Puja, Hum)' etc., until 'Shapta Puja Hum (शब्द पुज हुं, śabda puja huṃ, Music, Puja, Hum)', offer the outer offerings. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
