Regarding the biography of (Milarepa): In the southern part of India, there was a Mahamudra accomplished yogi who was seen as an embodiment of great compassion, and they called him 'Yes.' The forty-fifth story is: In one of the eastern realms, there was someone with the demeanor of an accomplished king, and because that kingdom could not be ruled by a king, he acted for the benefit of others. The forty-sixth story is: Once I was unwell, and last night I dreamed that a red naked woman came out of my body and ran away. I thought this was a sign of death, so I took a curved knife from my chest and brandished it at myself, and told Lama Korowa that I had completed three of the four signs of death. Now I know nothing about it. The forty-seventh story is: Three months prior to this, rainbows appeared in the sky, the earth trembled, and there were sounds like thunder, and various great omens continued without ceasing. Especially on the night from the second to the third day, the earthquake continued without stopping. In addition, a rainbow umbrella appeared above the monastery, many dakinis gathered, and there were sounds of hand drums, etc. On the morning of the third day, he bid farewell to the monks, saying, 'Now depart.' Then he straightened his body, sat in the lotus position, gazed at the sky for a long time, then covered his head with a scarf and entered meditation. On the evening of the third day, he traveled with the sun and moon to other realms. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thereafter, he passed away in altruistic activities. Eighth stage: Thereafter, on the tenth, during the cremation, those gathered there saw: the sun was longer than before, the rays of light were like a peacock feather umbrella, many heroes and yoginis adorned with bone ornaments, a rain of flowers fell, a rainbow umbrella was stacked on the pyre, the smoke turned into a rainbow in which the lama was seated, birds circled in the smoke, many beautiful sounds were heard in the sound of the fire, wild animals gathered and showed respect, and so on, many visions appeared. For those without merit, it was a new beginning, and for those with merit, it was an advancement. Thereafter, with the mind of emptiness and compassion inseparable, with the tongue that taught the Dharma of various vehicles, with the relics of bodhicitta, with the deity body of stable generation stage, many incarnations appeared for the benefit of others. Ninth stage: Like this, he passed away in the New Year, so that winter almost all the monks left. In the spring, Geshé Tsangpa, Sher Jung, Könchok Sengé (precious lion), Rinchen Sengé (precious lion), the steward, and Drak Seng (famous lion) and other great figures who remained in the monastery were appointed as abbots, and after consulting, they agreed that: Tsurphu was difficult to approach and occupy, while the place of Jara was the heart of the region, the nexus of the land, and suitable as the site of the monastery. So, they requested Gomdar for management, and then gathered in Jara. The Khenpo of the stupa was invited from Ta'u Rinchen Gang, and the Khenpo Geshé Nyalé was invited from Sa'bum, and all the construction work was carried out. Geshé Yorpö served as the director, responsible for laying the foundation of the main hall on the altar. At that time, the teacher Sher Rin said: 'Oh, listen to you two. Rinpoche came here from the dry land of the interior, thinking of this place in his heart, gathered the sangha, left a will, and also passed away here, and his body is also placed here. He performed many mind practices, gave many empowerments and consecrations, and left this blessed land, where else are you going?' So, the three, teacher and disciples, made a vow, and with the milk and perfume etc. with which Rinpoche's remains were received, inside they placed the relics of the Buddha, and the bones of the previous Kagyu lamas, Rinpoche's relics, hair, fingernails and toenails, and clothes etc., and as a symbol of faith, they were placed in the former sleeping quarters. In addition, a stupa was built with the ashes etc. for the benefit of beings. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
