The Collection of Teachings of the First Karmapa, 1KM5, The One Hundred and Eight Tables of Liberation. 1-2-47b The One Hundred and Eight Tables of Liberation. The One Hundred and Eight Tables of Liberation. Perfectly fulfilling the two accumulations, spontaneously accomplishing the three bodies. Indistinguishable appearance and emptiness, abiding in the state of Dharmakaya. Great bliss, free from elaboration, continuous luminosity. The three times' knowable objects are seen with the vajra eye. The essence of all Buddhas, Vajradhara. Emptiness and compassion are inseparable, the lord of Dharma. Perfectly accomplishing the benefit of beings through many manifestations. I prostrate with reverence to the incomparable precious one. Among the one hundred and eight tables of liberation of the precious Guru, the one hundred and eight liberation images are present. Firstly, he recalls being born in the eastern world, in the realm of Vaidurya, as a Bhikshu (monk). Secondly, he was born on the small continent of Dhari Tha, between southern Jambudvipa and western Bālanasambhava. At that time, the Lama Lhaje Rinpoche was a yogi named Surapa, and I requested Bodhicitta from him. Thirdly, after that, he was born in Udyana in the western part of India in this Jambudvipa, and he was a yogi named Utita, a yogi of self-nature without a teacher who did not teach instructions but had supreme power. Fourthly, after that, he was born into the Brahmin caste in the western continent of Bālanasambhava. Having become ordained, his name was Dharma Atita, and his secret name was Dharma Shi. He benefited some sentient beings, and at that time my Guru was Telopa. Fifthly, after that, in that same continent of Bālanasambhava, he took birth as an elephant. The Tirthika (non-Buddhist) king Dharma Shila was harmful to the Buddha's teachings. When he went with about seven hundred elephants and an army, the elephants trampled and killed the Tirthika king at the head of the army. His intention was to benefit the Buddha's teachings and to liberate the sinful king from the lower realms. Then, he became the object of my taming, who is now the benefactor of the monastery. Sixthly, after that, he was born in the kingdom of Kalinga in India, as the king Chandra-ripu (Subduer of the Moon). At that time, my Guru Lhaje was named Sangye Yeshe Zhab, and his teacher was Jampal Shenyen Avadhatipa. At that time, the glorious... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When they went to circumambulate the stupa of piled earth, a voice came from the sky: 'You have not yet attained accomplishment. Go and accumulate conditioned virtuous roots.' Then they established a Sangha and did many conditioned virtuous roots. Then they continued to circumambulate, and it is said that they obtained all common accomplishments. At that time, the emanation of Manjushri's spiritual friend, Abbot Avadhutipa, was none other than Mila himself. Buddha Yeshe Zhap is said to be Lama Lhaje. It is said that this does not agree with the history of circumambulation. After the seventh, in the northeast direction of the northern border of this Jambudvipa, born in a place called the river adorned with lotus flowers, he became a Bhikshu Dharmakirti. The Khenpo was the Brahmin Sajjana, and I also served as Khenpo for others. The Khenpos were Geshe Tagdeuwa and so on, and there are some in this Sangha as well. It is said that at that time, Master Dombipa was offered food in a cave. After the eighth, in the eastern continent of Videha, she was born as the daughter of a king named Good Protector, and her name was Sherab Zangmo, with the secret name Ocean-Born Bodhi. It is said that if she had been born as a prince, she would have had to take the throne, which is why she was born as a daughter. At that time, Lama Lhaje was a Bhikshu Dharmasiddhi, and having taken vows from him, she kept them properly. She offered many possessions to Lama Lhaje, pleasing him, and requested Dharma. After the ninth, in the southeast direction between the eastern continent of Videha and the southern Jambudvipa, there is an island called Radhapala, not all the famous islands. It is also called the city of Rajapala, and also called the city of King Good Protector. She was born there, belonging to the Jeu caste, the son of father Dharmasbaspa and mother Sumati, and was born with the name Pati Kirti. Having renounced, his name was changed to Bhikshu Ratnashrila. He lived for one hundred and sixty-four years, and it is said that his behavior and abilities were extraordinary. At that time, this Lama Lhaje was my Lama named Glorious Sbaspa. At that time, I had many disciples, including the Kadam pa and so on, and explained that the Dharma King distinguishes with Dharma. It is said that it was helpful then and now. After the tenth, in the center of this three-thousand-world system, in the center of the southern Jambudvipa, the Vajra Throne... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
