Concerning the identification of those who will not be reborn: Firstly, if there is no mark of a hand, one will die within seven years due to separation from the deity one relies on. If there is no right hand, it will be within five years. If there is no left hand, it will be within three years. If there is nothing below the knee of the right leg, it will be within two years. If all is missing, it will be within eight months. If there is no left leg, it will be within one year. If the right half of the head is missing, it will be within nine months. If the left is missing, it will be within seven months. If there is nothing above the waist, it will be within five months. If nothing including the waist, it will be within three months. If there is no upper body, it will be within two months. If there is no lower body, it will be within one month. If the right half of the body is missing, it will be within twenty-nine days. If the left is missing, it will be within twenty-one days. If the shape becomes square, it can be reversed by deception. Round, long, and crescent shapes are the same. If it is like rotten matter, even the Great Compassionate One cannot reverse the triangle. Regarding color, if white disappears from the center, it will be seized by nagas and kings. If black disappears from the right, it will be seized by demons and mothers. If red disappears from the left, it will be seized by naga-tsan and gyal-gong. If blue gradually shortens and disappears from the feet, it is nagas and ocean goddesses. If black is indistinct, it will be seized by mothers and Yama. If yellow is bright, it is the earth deity. If speckled and flickering, it is a dead ghost. To examine the connection between heaven and earth: At noon, face south, place the elbow on the knee, raise the forearm upwards, hold the fist to the eyebrow, and look straight with the corner of the eye, the forearm will become very thin. If it breaks, death will occur within nineteen days. To examine a man riding a lion of Mount Meru: In the east at sunrise, if there is a pond of water, on the west side of the wall or wall surface, one's shadow appears in two layers, if there is no upper shadow, it is called a water ghost, and death will occur at noon on the sixteenth day. To examine the waist of trees in the mountain valley: Examine the roots, which are not written here. To examine the froth of water in the depths of the ocean: Do not drink too much alcohol at night, do not engage in sexual activity, do not speak too much, and the next day, when the sun is just rising, face east and examine your urine in a suitable black and white container such as a bowl. If the steam turns blue-red, death will occur within half a month. If it turns black and tattered, it will be within eleven days. If red with spots, it will be within nine days.

Do not perform (death) divination when it is not the end of life. Judging demonic influences from colors is the same as before. In a plain city, judging by smoke: if there is no smell of feces when the sun has just risen, then within nine days (death). Observing the sun from the summit of Mount Meru: if the eyes lose their light, then within three days (death). Judging by the sound from inside Mount Meru: like a lion sleeping, with the ear pressed to the ground, if there is a sound, hearing the sound of animals moving, or hearing a "rustling" sound, there is no danger. If the sound of wind is heard, then within seven or eleven days (death). If there is no sound, then within eleven days (death). Judging by the Wish-Fulfilling Tree: if at the demon gate on the back of the head, a tuft of hair stands upright, then within seven days (death). These are all for ordinary situations; for the elderly and weak, whose bodily energies are exhausted, they are not necessarily accurate. Yogis, in order to avoid common worldly causes and conditions such as divination and observation, should stay away from these. The Essential Points of Death Divination, written by the great scholar Jampal Shenyen (Manjushri Mitra), is complete. This is the true intention of all Buddhas, not expressed in words and symbols, but the secret teaching of realizing the ultimate meaning, the essence of truly attaining the fruit. My bodies formed by habitual tendencies, like the dust of Mount Meru, from one body to another. The final separation of the essence and dross of the body occurred in the two successive cities of western India, where I was born as the son of the virtuous teacher and Light Lamp in the Brahmin caste, possessing wisdom, proficient in writing, mastering all languages and words, possessing the sharpness of Manjushri. Possessing the mind of a wise one, I obtained the meaning of the Heart Essence, secretly engaging in practice. Meeting the emanation prophesied by Manjushri, in a place where long-term karmic obscurations had not been purified. The emanation of the Buddhas extracted the sacred meaning from the heart, the nectar-like stream of Dharma flowed into my heart, and ignorance was purified by the light of self-luminous wisdom, just as the rising sun dispels darkness. From countless teachings, I expanded and summarized. I awoke from the practice of previous lives, and a mind of understanding arose as it is, and I became the master of the sacred teachings. Seventy-five years after I met (the Guru), the emanation disappeared into the Dharmadhatu. The final determination of the three words.
