Thus it is. The noble Nagarjuna also said: Because there is no mind, there is also no dharma. Likewise, there is no body and no realm. Likewise, the path of non-duality is well explained in that very place. And so on, the extensive teachings also refer to the awareness that transcends the mind. Such awareness, from beginningless time, has not been tainted by any dharma of samsara as it revolves in its own state, so the cause of clinging to existence is exhausted, and it is primordially liberated. Without being altered by any antidote, whatever arises is like a snake knot unraveling on its own, and it does not rely on another to liberate, and it is self-liberated. All of the eight consciousnesses are without the duality of object and subject, and in an instant, like a great thunderbolt, they are naturally liberated, so they are immediately liberated. It does not abide in any of the three times or knowable things, so it is ultimately liberated. Thus, abiding in the state of the four great liberations, one's own awareness, the self-born wisdom, is the characteristic of this very path, and one must be certain of this. In order to realize it properly, emptiness, the original purity, transforms awareness into freedom from elaboration, thereby exhausting the dharma of emptiness, which is Trekchö. Appearance, the spontaneous perfection, purifies the coarse into luminosity, thereby exhausting the dharma nature of appearance. The first of these two is that the intention of this supreme vehicle, the essence of awareness, the nature of being free from bondage and liberation, the essence of original purity, is unaltered and unbroken in any way. In one's own nature, there is no essence that can be designated as "this," so it does not fall into any direction. Being free from conceptual mind, it is the naked awareness that transcends thought and expression, which is emptiness itself. On the path, words and letters cannot express it, so it is without characteristics. In terms of the result, there is no hope or fear of attainment, so it is without aspiration. From the aspect of awareness, the qualities of enlightenment are complete, and it is the nature of luminosity, the awareness that possesses the four liberations, and any view, meditation, conduct, result, etc., and the dharmas included in the consciousness of realization and non-realization, are not established. Seeing does not see it, meditating does not realize it, conduct does not benefit it, and the result cannot be attained. Because it is absent, there is no practice on the ground, no progress on the path, no focus on the result, and no order of that and that. The glorious Saraha also said: Alas, do not look to the two, cause and effect! The cause and effect of arising as an object.

It is a son! If the yogi's mind is intoxicated by hope and doubt, the co-emergent wisdom will be bound there. Alas! Do not say that because of the separation of self-nature, it cannot be practiced. If one understands the two, what is to be practiced and what can be practiced, and thinks that one can achieve Bodhi with a dualistic mind, then that person is creating sin for himself. Thus it is said. Some people do not understand this situation and think that if they do not practice the generation stage, etc., and do not accumulate the two accumulations, they will not be able to achieve the fruition of the form body, etc. This is a slander of the profound completion stage and is an act of abandoning the Dharma. If this path is the ultimate Dharmakaya of all Buddhas, then it is attained. Otherwise, those who see me in form, those who know me by sound, are those who have entered the wrong path, those people cannot see me, the Dharmakaya of the Buddhas. Thus it is said. Therefore, the awareness of the Vajra Essence Original Purity is to become accustomed to the way the primordial Dharmakaya is. Liberation from the obscurations of elaboration is like the sun's self-illuminating nature. The near attainment of the eight branches, relying solely on the characteristics of the stages generated by all the discriminations of the mind, is like relying on obscurations to eliminate obscurations, and then wanting to see the sun, there is such a difference. Therefore, for self-born wisdom, without modifying it with the view, practice, conduct, and result of discrimination, but abiding in its own nature, that is, letting awareness naturally relax, not modifying, not correcting, not practicing, not distracting, not confusing, not adding discriminating speculation, frankly, nakedly, relaxedly, naturally abiding, this is just establishing the names of view and practice. It is said in Self-Appearance: When awareness is free from elaboration, where will there be confusion and ignorance? When wisdom is free from mind, where will there be ignorance and habitual tendencies? Thus it is said. By abiding in this way, one can directly recognize the nature of the Great Original Purity Awareness, and will not be bound by the grasper and the grasped. For it, without adding the intention of what is to be practiced and what can be practiced, the Twelve Vajra Great Laughters, etc., have a good explanation of this. If the habit of this path becomes stable, it will eventually be gathered into the place of liberation—the Great Realm of Original Purity, that is, the four great gross particles merge into the fire of wisdom.
