In the instant of arising as the base appearance from the ground of primordial essence, recognizing it as self-appearance, the very wisdom of self-arisen awareness is liberated in its own place, thus becoming enlightened in the self-arisen wisdom that does not conceptually think about all knowable things such as the three times, center and edges, beginning and end. As it is said in the Root Tantra: "Without beginning, middle, or end, and without distinctions. Non-dual, free from three, stainless, without conceptual thought." And also from the Magical Net of Manjushri: "Without conceptual thought, spontaneously accomplished. The activity of the Buddhas of the three times. Buddhas without beginning or end. The first Buddha without distinctions." Thus it is. Although it is not in reality, the sudden two obscurations of delusion, together with their imprints, are completely purified in their own nature, hence it is the great abandonment. With the great wisdom that is non-dual between knowledge and the object of knowledge, seeing all-pervasively without distinguishing between samsara and nirvana, hence it is the great realization. Through the power of these, the activity of spontaneously accomplishing the benefit of all beings without any aim is the great mind. As it is said in the Ornament of Clear Realization: "All sentient beings are supreme, that is the mind. Abandonment, realization, and the three. The self-arisen nature of the three great ones. This should be known as that, especially for the sake of others." Thus it is. That very thing, not fixating on anything, being free from all extremes of elaboration, is the wisdom of the sphere of reality, and the wisdom of equality that sees samsara and nirvana, good and bad, as equal, not abiding in the extremes of samsara and nirvana. It is the wisdom of equality, having mastery over the knowledge of suchness. Therefore, it is said to have transcended the mere emptiness of abiding in the noble cessation that pacifies all that is entered by the vehicle of cause into the sphere of reality. The objects seen by the individual wisdom of the Thus-Gone Ones, the princes who are masters of the ten bhumis, and for the assemblies to be tamed, the form body visible to the eye, the sound heard by the ear, the fragrance of the noble precepts smelled by the nose, the taste of the Dharma tasted by the tongue, the sensation of the bliss of samadhi felt by the body, and the basis or cause of measuring the Dharma with the wisdom of thought and analysis, etc., is the nature of subtle wisdom that has not been obscured by absorption, residing in the great pure land of the inner-clear youthful vase body, in the manner of being gathered within the crystal light. From the blessing of that, the self-appearing pure land, spontaneously accomplished, densely arrayed, beyond thought.
