Relying on you all, in general, the tantras, Indian treatises, and instructions, and in particular, the profound meaning of the empowerments of the three divisions of Sutra, Cause, and Mind, may writing, upholding, reciting, reading, understanding the meaning, giving empowerment to others, explaining, transmitting, and propagating them flourish and increase! Having instructed in this way, they also promised to do so, and now also need life and so-and-so. Before the (spiritual) master, as promised, please protect and perform the activities of the guardians of those who hold this lineage of Dharma. Thus it is entrusted. Om Vaisharmanaye. To the great king Vaishravana and his retinue: Panza Amrita Khahi. Balingta Khahi. Rakta Khahi. May you grant that those who hold, maintain, and spread this Dharma, in accordance with the guardians, have the fortune to enjoy abundant wealth. Thus it is entrusted. Om Vajra Sadhu Samaya. Panza Amrita Khahi. Balingta Khahi. Rakta Khahi. Father Mönpa Nakpo, Mother Mönma Nakmo, Son Damchen Garwa Nakpo, the boneless white snow mountain deity, Kharag Palmo Tsun, Kongtsun Demo, the three brothers, eight attendants, and sixty retinue members. And also the retinue, the assembly of the eight classes of gods and demons under command, may you all grant vast protection and safeguarding to those who hold, maintain, and spread this Dharma. Please perform the activity of destroying the enemies of the teachings and the wicked like dust. Thus it is entrusted in that manner. There are three aspects to the subject matter: how it was begun, dedicating the merit of the composition to enlightenment, and making aspirations, and the reason for the completion of the composition. First, the reason for how it was begun is: Emaho! The Dharma King, the venerable Rinchen Pal, Ngawang Drakpa, victorious in all directions, with favorable conditions that are good, vast, and perfect, with pure intentions and various expressions of joy, with incomparable compassion, kindness, and blessings, and the omniscient Dharma Lord Zhönnu Pal, giving offerings in order, in a way that pleases them, for the benefit of the teachings, the supreme empowerment of the three, Sutra, Tantra, and Mind, must be well composed, this is your command. The incarnate supreme being, Zhamar Chöpe, holder of the crest jewel, Chökyi Drakpa Yeshe Palsangpo, giving the six joyful expressions, golden flowers, etc., and saying that the Sutra empowerment must be written. What is that like? The Ocean of Dharma of Kathog is a treasure of water, the three, hearing, thinking, and meditating, arise well from the cracks. The mantra-holder, Vajradhara, radiates light, the seven horses circle the central Mount Meru in the sky. The objects to be tamed, the lotus garden of Sutra and Tantra, are made to flourish. With discriminating wisdom, the bumblebee, with its vajra beak, gathers the essence of Tantras, scriptures, and instructions. The supreme empowerment, the honey sea, is complete with qualities. Ema, whose mind is in this? Ema, please taste this supreme flavor. Secondly, dedicating the merit of the composition to Bodhi and making aspirations: Thus, the stainless merit of the composition, and the two merits that include the three paths of samsara, nirvana, and the path, are combined into one, the cloud of Samantabhadra's offering. To the root guru who has passed into peace, and to the compassionate lineage gurus, with the devotion of body, speech, and mind, may the qualities increase from the ground up, and may they quickly go to the state of Vajradhara, and may they guide beings like me. Again, the stainless merit of the composition, and that which arises from generosity, ethics, and meditation, the collection of pure white virtues, is beyond thought. Furthermore, the collection of virtues of the ten directions is combined into one, with the cloud of Samantabhadra's offerings, offered to please the King of Dharma of the three realms. By the power and blessings arising from this, may the body be adorned with the thirty-two excellent major marks, and the eighty excellent minor marks, may the pure retinue shine like the stars in the sky, and may the wheel of the supreme adornment of the body be attained. The speech has sixty branches of melodious sound, and the five melodious sounds of the Dharma conch are naturally accomplished, may the fame of the Dharma spread in the ten directions, and may the wheel of the supreme adornment of speech be attained. The mind knows whatever is as it is, without difference, the Dharmadhatu mirror realizes equality separately, the five types of wisdom that accomplish actions, understanding countless hundreds of thousands of samadhis, may the wheel of the supreme adornment of mind be attained. A palace made of various jewels, Four-sided, four-doored, with horse steps, Dharma wheels, and parasols, Adorned with various ornaments, May I obtain a palace endowed with merits. A jewel throne with treasure eyes, Supported by lions, elephants, excellent horses, peacocks, and, Eight Kalandaka birds, Covered with a seat cover with net patterns and so on, A thousand-petaled lotus, sun, and moon, May I sit upon a meritorious seat. With silk and various precious bone ornaments, Head ornaments, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, Armlets, rings, anklets, toe rings, etc., May I be adorned with meritorious ornaments. Blue, white, yellow, red, green, With twenty-five, thousands upon thousands of colors, Beautifully and pleasingly pitched as a tent, May the light of merit radiate. All diseases, demons, sins, and obscurations, As well as enemies, obstacles, and hindrances, All that should be abandoned, May the great activity of pacification be accomplished. Life, merit, splendor, glory, Retinue, enjoyment, power, wealth, Experience, realization, body, wisdom, etc., May all the activities of increase be accomplished. Gods, demons, humans, the three realms, the three existences, Food, wealth, enjoyment, whatever is needed, All things as they should be, May I obtain the activity of subjugation. Internal diseases, demons, sins, obscurations, and habitual tendencies, External enemies, armies, Eighty thousand kinds of obstacles, Three hundred and sixty kinds of evil spirits, etc., May all be utterly destroyed with fierce force. Again, with this ocean of meritorious offerings, The root guru, the greatly kind guru, The five-knowing Pandit, Monga Chozongpa, The Fourth Shamarpa Chokyi Drakpa, And all the spiritual friends, May I attain the Vajradhara state of complete abandonment and realization, And guide the six types of beings to the path of liberation. Again, with this merit of accomplishing this, May I have the fortune to enter the mandala, May all be omniscient.
