Along with the sounds of the lute and the music of cymbals, precious ornaments and other precious things, the eight auspicious symbols and other auspicious objects, I offer my body, speech, and mind to you. May the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas regard us with compassion, and please accept these for the sake of bringing happiness to beings. Thus it is said. Furthermore, make extensive offerings, and give away three portions as before. From this time forth, until reaching the Bodhi tree, I take refuge in the supreme of bipeds, the Buddhas residing in the ten directions. I take refuge in the supreme of the peaceful and desireless, the holy Dharma residing in the ten directions. I take refuge in the supreme of assemblies, the non-returning Bodhisattva Sangha residing in the ten directions. Say this three times. Again, with palms joined, "All Buddhas and Bodhisattvas residing in the ten directions, please heed me. Teacher, please heed me. Just as the Tathagatas, Arhats, Perfectly Awakened Buddhas, the Blessed Ones of the past, and the Bodhisattvas generated the supreme Bodhicitta, and for the sake of all sentient beings, attained complete and perfect enlightenment in unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment, liberating those sentient beings who have not been liberated, freeing those who have not been freed, giving breath to those who have not breathed, and establishing those who have not passed into complete Nirvana in the state of Nirvana, in the same way, I, named so-and-so, from this time forth, until reaching the essence of enlightenment, will generate the supreme Bodhicitta, liberate those sentient beings who have not been liberated, free those who have not been freed, give breath to those who have not breathed, and lead those who have not passed into complete Nirvana to complete Nirvana."

Immeasurable merit. From the words of Shri Datta: Whatever merit there is in the mind of enlightenment, if it had a form, then this sky would be completely filled, and even more than that.
