Until the essence of enlightenment. How did the protectors of the three times Certainly achieve enlightenment? The supreme Bodhicitta, I will generate the sacred mind. With the precepts of discipline, And the accumulation of virtuous dharmas, The three disciplines that benefit sentient beings, I will firmly uphold. The Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha, The unsurpassed Three Jewels. The vows born from the yoga of the Buddha, I will firmly uphold from now on. The great and supreme Vajra family, The Vajra bell and mudra also, I will truly uphold. The teachers also I will uphold. The great and supreme Ratna family, In the pleasing vows, Six times each day, Always give the four kinds of generosity. Born from the great enlightenment, In the pure and supreme Padma family, The three vehicles of outer, inner, and secret, The sacred Dharma I will uphold. In the great and supreme Karma family, Possessing all the vows, I will truly uphold. And do whatever I can in the work of offerings. The supreme Bodhicitta, Having generated the sacred mind, For the sake of all sentient beings, I will uphold all the vows. I will liberate those who are not liberated, I will deliver those who are not delivered, I will give rest to those who have not found rest, And establish sentient beings in Nirvana. Meaning of unequaled, capable of accomplishing the unsurpassed. In countless eons, whatever sins were committed in the past, upon seeing such a mandala, those will surely be exhausted. If one abides in the practice of limitless fame mantras, what need is there for wishes? If one recites the secret mantra of protection, one will attain the unsurpassed state. For whomever this supreme conduct, whose wisdom is utterly unwavering, that one will cut off the source of all suffering, the lower realms. Great beings, your unequaled attainment is attained today. Why is it that all the Buddhas and their sons, all the great beings, are being embraced and born into this teaching of yours? Therefore, you will surely be greatly born into the Great Vehicle in the future. This supreme path of the vast arising of the Great Vehicle is glorious. Because you rejoice in that, you, the greatly fortunate ones who are self-born, will become the Thus-Gone One who knows all the worlds. Thus, the meaning is explained. It is said that the meaning of this verse spoken from the Sutra of Manifest Enlightenment of Vairocana is: In the world, it is rarer than the Udumbara flower, and even rarer is the appearance of a Buddha in the world. Rarer still is the Secret Mantra Vajrayana, and it possesses great benefits. Even the sins accumulated over countless eons will be purified upon seeing this mandala. What need is there to mention that by receiving empowerment, diligently upholding vows and commitments, practicing deity yoga, and striving to recite mantras, one will be liberated from the suffering of the lower realms? Therefore, you have attained the supreme attainment, are embraced by the Buddhas and their sons, and are being born into their lineage. By relying on this path of the Great Vehicle Mantra, without a doubt, you will become the Thus-Gone One who knows all in the world. Therefore, cultivate special joy in that meaning.
