For these arrogant kings, the ritual for averting inauspicious omens is: For the remaining ones, if they appear, whatever arises, use our own ransom offering and wrathful methods to avert it. For conflicts, avert with wrathful, thick accumulations. For diminishing lifespans, avert with our own corpses. For bleeding, avert with wool. If birds appear, use them to change droughts. If lights appear, avert with worldly offerings, including all realms. Avert with offerings. For the general, avert with wrathful offerings. Through it, anything can be averted. Thus it is said. From the Great Sutra of the Net of a Thousand Gods, the chapter on averting inauspicious omens, the fortieth. Thereafter, in the presence of the Bhagavan, Indra requested: Alas, Bhagavan, Lord of Secrets! For these arrogant kings, if practicing, with what secret mantra should we do it? Please, Bhagavan, explain. The Bhagavan said: Listen, Indra, Lord of the Gods! For these arrogant kings, if the ritual of practice is to be done, practice with this secret mantra. This mantra is the lifeblood of the arrogant, existing like a razor, a forest fire. Greatly expand the focus, and if not recited, it will also turn the wheel of life. After reciting, like controlling, blowing, and throwing, whoever is focused on will be liberated. Through it, demonstrate the activities, namely killing and saving, subduing and cutting, suppressing and tormenting, poisoning and driving, expelling and pacifying, banishing and averting, binding and deceiving.
