Permanent, stable, and enduring, it is the nature of imperishable dharma. Whether tathāgatas appear or not, this dharma-dhātu remains as it is. Thus it is said, and this final statement reveals the reality of the Great Perfection's primordial purity as it is. The name "Great Perfection" is given because the self-arisen wisdom, without limit or bias, in which the objects of all vehicles reside and are perfected in one essence. Or, because all purified dharmas are perfected in the nature of awareness in an instant, without being deliberately examined by the mind's grasping. The *Kunjed Gyalpo Tantra* says: "One perfected, two perfected, perfected in the mind. One perfected, perfected by what the mind has done. Two perfected, perfected in abundance. All perfected, perfected in bodhicitta." And the *Sutra Requested by Blo-dros Gyatso* says: "Those who purify these dharmas and turn the wheel of the perfected bodhicitta, their bodhicitta is supremely pure and will never be stained by the defilements of affliction. If the sky could be afflicted by afflictions, then traces could be shown in it. But the self-nature of clear light, the perfected bodhicitta, can never be afflicted by afflictions." Thus, the Great Perfection, the nature of dharma, the clear light, the nature of bodhicitta, unmistakably reveals the characteristic of primordial purity. Similarly, in the *Nirvana Sutra*, it is said: "Furthermore, what is called truth is the middle way of the world. What is called perfection is that if one diligently practices the middle way, one will surely know that it is the unsurpassed, perfectly complete perfection." As such, the former is established by inference through reasoning, while the latter is not an object of the mind, and therefore abides in the meaning of this noble path. As for the etymology of Ati Yoga, Ati means "extreme," that is, excellent, श्रेष्ठ (śreṣṭha, best), श्रेष्ठतम (śreṣṭhatama, superlative of best), the peak, and the essence. Yoga means union, and since it is the ultimate of all yogas, it is the extreme union. Since it is the essence of all perfection stages, there is nothing higher than it. Through this, one can realize the extremely profound and difficult-to-fathom sky.

Suchness of unborn, Since the nature is directly shown, it is indicated by the word "great." The Blessed One also said, "To teach the Dharma that is as inconceivable as the sky is extremely great." This is also in accordance with the exact definition of this. Furthermore, Naropa also said that the way in which all the dharmas of samsara and nirvana are perfected in the very self-arisen awareness is: "The samadhi of unmade awareness is clear; all purposes are accomplished without action; self-arisen, primordial, the basis of all; unmoving yoga, spontaneously accomplished path; as it is, all complete, the fruit itself; bindu, free from action, treasure of completion; bliss wisdom, non-conceptual mind; fortunate ones are complete from the very beginning; the thoughts of the six realms of samsara; and the wisdom of the victorious ones, nirvana; in the state of great bliss awareness, self-arisen, as it is, unmade; spontaneously complete, in a state free from elaboration." Furthermore, from the oral instructions of the noble Manjushri, compiled by the master Yeshe Zhap, it is also said: "Great Perfection, the form of the general collection of wisdom; completely pure body, great Vajradhara; the essence of all glorious ones, these two stages; suffering, paths, etc., even in three kalpas; having obtained enlightenment and the supreme, in accordance with one's own lineage; having obtained even a small gathering of that bliss; why does that yogi not meditate on that?" And in its commentary: "Great Perfection is the second of the second stages. Its wisdom is like the five, such as the mirror. The form of the general collection is the utterly pure, completely pure of those. Therefore, it is called the completely pure body, because it is the body of the fruit as it is. That itself is called the great Vajradhara. All the glorious ones are all the Buddhas because they possess their own wisdom. That itself is the essence of the ultimate truth and conventional truth of all. That itself is called these two stages, that is, the stage of perfection. It is said that this great means of the long paths is to be meditated upon, such as suffering. Suffering is said to be on the paths through the means of giving the head, etc., even in three kalpas, that is, acting with faith, from the first to the seventh, and from the eighth to the tenth, for countless kalpas.
