The first of the actions is like Indrabodhi, who was liberated at the time of empowerment. The second is, as stated in the Essence Tantra: "That which is grasped by the perfection of the characteristic of knowing entry, the cause and condition that ripens the fruit, whoever becomes capable, is known as the field of the Victorious Vidyadharas." There are three aspects to this: the view that is the characteristic of knowing as the cause, the samadhi that is the characteristic of entering as the condition, and the vidyadhara as the result of the transformation of the path. The first has already been mentioned above, and the second, samadhi, has two aspects: aspiration-meditation and definitive completion. The first is to meditate on the general appearance of the meaning itself, using aspiration as the path. The second is to study the samadhi of the two stages until the five experiences are perfected. As stated in Vimalamitra's commentary on the Mudra Meditation: "Movement, attainment, habituation, stability, and perfection are the five ways in which the experiences of meditation arise." The path to be meditated upon is as follows, as stated in the Essence Tantra: "By the way in which existence ripens in stages, the five branches of entry are established. Whatever things are self-aware, death is the ultimate truth, birth and intermediate state are all conventional, the three stages of birth are non-dual in meaning." Therefore, the complete teaching of the path for simultaneously training the three existences of death, existence, and birth includes the great emptiness as the path that is in accordance with the clear light of death, the great compassion as the path that is in accordance with the intermediate state, and the one mudra as the path that is in accordance with the three stages of birth, as well as the mudra with elaboration, and the gathering of accumulations in a group, making five in total. Among these, the coarse is the generation stage, and the subtle is the two ways of training in the completion stage. The first is that when sentient beings transfer at the time of death, at the end of the completion of the internal and external stages of dissolution, the clear light of the dharmakaya of the death state arises. In order to take this as the path, all phenomena included in appearance and sound are meditated upon as the suchness samadhi of the dharmakaya, free from elaboration. Furthermore, without recognizing that clear light, in order to purify the habitual tendencies of the illusory state of the intermediate state mind-body, one meditates on the essence of the all-appearing samadhi, which is the great compassion pervading space, without any object of focus. And from that basis, before being liberated from the intermediate state, from the time of taking birth in the mother's womb until birth, in order to purify the habitual tendencies, the one mudra has two aspects, coarse and subtle, where does one give birth

Due to attachment arising towards the state of becoming, in order to purify the state of the impure intermediate existence, one trains in the subtle causal continuum of samadhi, which possesses the eight qualities of clarity and stability of letters. Similarly, upon entering between the sperm and ovum of parents, in order to purify the state of the external senses awakening to objects, one trains in the coarse deity body, which is the fourfold manifestation of enlightenment. And one trains in accordance with the four modes of birth arising from the three assemblies and so forth. To purify the habitual tendencies from birth to maturity, one also trains in the four mudras with elaboration. As stated in the Lamrim, "Wheel, assembly, number, face, hand." This means that the unfolding of the wheel, the unfolding of the assembly, the unfolding of the number, and the unfolding of the face and hands, these four are respectively the mandalas of peaceful and wrathful deities, which are vast, middling, and concise. Assemblies are one, three, and five. Regarding numbers, for peaceful deities there are one thousand and twenty-four thousand, as well as spontaneously accomplished ones. For wrathful deities, there are four thousand four hundred and fifty, seventy-six thousand eight hundred and fifty, as well as spontaneously accomplished ones. Faces and hands also have three modes: vast, middling, and concise. To purify the habitual tendencies from maturity to old age, in the practice of the assembly mandala, one takes the five perfections as the basis for practice, one straightens the main practice with the four limbs of approach and accomplishment, and one shows the time of attaining the vidyadhara fruit, the connection between these three, its limbs and distinctions are limitless. Thus, these five contaminated paths are similar to downward samsara, therefore they purify it and its habitual tendencies, and upwards they nourish the potential of the three kayas of the Buddha and their activities, thereby perfecting them as the result. In between, the lower path lays the foundation for the higher path to be cultivated, therefore it becomes a means of ripening. Secondly, the way of purifying with the subtle completion stage is also like this. In meditation similar to this, in a place free from thorns, with the body possessing the key points, leaving awareness uncorrected in its natural state, this is the all-encompassing awareness. Remembering the view of hearing and thinking, and abiding in that state, this is abiding after seeing, with either of these two ways of abiding, one trains in non-conceptual samadhi, which is the yoga of the day, and the yoga of the night.
